    Hello everyone, the compile log returns an error while compiling from "Generation" -> "Compile". I'm missing \Service5\Bin\Debug\Service5.dll'. In my project dir I got the Service3 project not the Service5. Cheers in advance.

    @Nikkio Sounds like you installed a newer version in any of the prerequisited softwaretools. Please read prerequisites carefully and install the mentioned versions.

    i had faced the same problem as Wills and Peter. I could not go past the 'Login failed for user 'newuser'. page i have tried every suggestion mentioned above. What do you sugesst i do.

    Hi Kibrom,
    my suggestion is to read carefully through the software prerequisites and check if you installed the correct versions of the prerequisites.
    You might want to install newer versions, but in my case that did not work at all. Only the prerequisites and module versions mentioned by rintagi really worked.

    Also use the correct hostname of your computer to configure Rintagi and to enter the development sites. Since Microsoft updates in Windows 7/8/10/Server do not recommend to use loopback "localhost" anymore due to security and performance reasons you should not use it in your configuration.

    If your config is correct, check out SQL permissions / security settings in SQL Server. You can check for Event errors in windows System log for further errors.

    Good day all. In the documentation it is stated 'Ordinary foreign key protects referential integrity and indicates relationships among tables. Rintagi recommends virtual foreign keys only for the drop down list or combo box displays. Physical foreign key is unnecessary as referential integrity could be handled by constraint business rules'. Does that mean we should never declare foreign key relationships for any tables in a database? This seems strange to me, as I have been designing databases for many years and ensuring integrity through foreign key relationships is something I have always done. The documentation states that integrity 'could be handled by constraint business rules' but if one fails to do this, one could end up with integrity problems in one's database. So, my question is - do you all follow this advice or not? If one does not, does it cause problems in the designed application as suggested by the statement 'In fact, physical foreign keys can be a problem to some upgrade deployment operation and therefore is strongly discouraged'?

    @nneden i had the same problem, this is what i did to by pass it, press the tab key twice and press enter . thats all. when you move to the next interface after typing all the necessary information , move the cursor to "App Pwd " and press the tab key three times , press enter key and you are done!! when everything is done you will see it yourself.

    Hello, just trying Rintagi. Can I place more than one grid in on page or on one screen? each grid is mapping to a separate table. it is not a report, because I want user to modify the grid rows if needed.

    Another question: is there any way to custom the screen buttons: save, delete, new, etc.. suppose I want to add a new button: Save as Draft, or a new button "View report". What should I do? thanks.

    @KZfming_twitter Thanks for your patience in awaiting our response.
    1. Button – there are a few hidden system buttons(same level of Save) that can be unhide then re-purpose, you can see an example in our generated expense report exactly for this purpose (in our ERP package). You can use the feature "button override" to rename buttons and change their behavior.
    2. For myself in handling (1), I would use action button in the master screen as that allows you to add as many as you want(quite a few screen in admin do this) instead of only selected ones for the ‘System Buttons’ but that really depends on situations
    3. There can only be one grid and if there really is a need for more, then the React side will give you way more flexibility in doing this. You can customize the react screens to pull data and functionalities from 5-6 different asp.net screens.
    Regarding your bug, please give me a little time, will get back to you with more questions if necessary.

    1. Button override: I am able to add one system button to my page, however I can only add one, not sure how to add more. Any practice to add more system buttons? Can you help check the attached screen?

    3. Can not figure out what the React side is, what is the react screen?

    3. You can convert your modules to react by using our react template. This can be achieved by going to Maintenance/Systems Maintenance screen on administration module. Then click on "Create React Base" and after the process is over click on "Publish React to Site". You can access your react screens by using the link with the format as below "localhost/(project namespace)/react/(module abbr)(Cmon)" For ex: localhost/xx/react/Cmon.
    4. You have to run the installer and specify the namespace of your project on the installer setting screen, on which the changes will be applied. It should be done within minutes.

    Regarding #4, on my Rintagi testing environment, I have applied latest installer with attached screen setting, after 20 mins, the upgrade is done, the generate report is working! however, all my test data/tables are gone. Can you tell me how to upgrade correctly? because I have an internal product environment already being used by a few users, I don't want to make the production data to be cleaned. thanks.

    sorry for keep disturbing you guys, because I have no other way to get help. Again a couple of questions:
    1. Report. I have generated a report and it can be reviewed, but it cannot found in the menu definition screen. I have checked Administration module, the system reports can be found. please check my screen.
    2. Grid Authorization. I have two pages, one page is for users (User group) to enter data into a Grid (Data Entry page), another page is for approver (approver group) to review. Each user can only view and add its own data, the approver can view all the users' data in review page. It works well except one situation: if the approver is also a user, he should enter and view only his own data in the data entry page. The fact is the approver can still see others' data in data entry page even the user group's authorization is: View self, add, edit and delete. Can you help give some suggestions?

    1. Regarding react template, I have tried to ‘Create react base’, it showed the error "The system cannot find the file specified", as shown in screen. can you help check?
    2. This means the system is not setup properly for react, ex: if nodejs is not installed . Can you please the node.js version installed (64 bit)

    • Rintagi can handle the data entry mock up you have shown, the Add Button on the screen follows a similar functionality, where it adds rows to the grid. The process is to add a web-rule on your button to populate the grid in the screen below.
