@gonafr
hi ronald
is it possible to close an open stream? can you help me doing it?
Ronald Brinkerink
@RonB
nice suggestion. I'll look into it and get back to you.
Gonçalo Rodrigues
@gonafr
thanks
Ronald Brinkerink
@RonB
Hi Gonzalo. I' ve added a start parameter where you can specifiy a callback function. That function is called with a reference to the stream. On that stream you can call the abort() method at any time you like to stop the stream. Would like to try and see if this works for you?
Gonçalo Rodrigues
@gonafr
hi ronald, for work i had to comment the line 29 of angular-oboe.js (defer.resolve();)
and now i can call $scope.stream.abort() to abort the connection
can you comment that line on your lib?
Ronald Brinkerink
@RonB
Hi Gonzalo. Instead of the resolve I could provide a done parameter where you can specify a callback when the stream ends. That way I can remove the resolve() from the promise to make sure that multiple json arrays or objects can be parsed. Would that work for you?
Ronald Brinkerink
@RonB
I've made the changes. would like to test?
Gonçalo Rodrigues
@gonafr
hi I tested and it worked great
thank you for your support
Ronald Brinkerink
@RonB
Your welcome. Can you fill me in on the usage of this library for your company? Do you have massive amounts of data or do you use it for mobile?
Gonçalo Rodrigues
@gonafr
i'm using it to feed on realtime a kendo ui chart
Ronald Brinkerink
@RonB
nice. perfect solution for this kind of application....

@badisa
Hi, I am having a problem of the start callback not triggering, while the done callback works just fine.

@badisa
Okay, I just figured it out. The code requires that the response that is given is a 200. I was under the impression that for a stream, you should return 202 rather than 200. I will make a pull request with that addition, though I could be mistaken regarding the 202 Status Code.
Okay, on reading about the status codes, I was completely wrong. Sorry about that
Ronald Brinkerink
@RonB
No problem. Let me know if you need any other help.

Hi, i'm using oboe to stream json but i have perfomance issues, i need to parse a huge json and at the same time show points in a leaflet map, I think that oboe consumes a lot of CPU .. could anyone help ?

@konstruilo

Hello all, I am wondering, is it possible to specify multiple patterns in the stream? I tried putting them in an array, but it doesn't seem to work
Tom Matheussen
@Tommatheussen
and afterwards check the data on which pattern they got returned?

Hi I've tried to run an example of angular-oboe but when i go to localhost:9000 i dont see anything. After running "grunt" I see error:
"Loading "grunt-karma.js" tasks...ERROR

TypeError: Cannot read property 'prototype' of undefined"

Patryk Krawczyk
@patrykkrawczyk

also errors like:

Local Npm module "grunt-contrib-watch" not found. Is it installed?
Local Npm module "grunt-parallel" not found. Is it installed?
