@icemancast and I were discussing location/venue/address stuff during lunch and that's what we came up with.

Oraganization - cool
Location_area - makes sense, just edit location_id to be address_id.
Addresses - why org_id? can’t an address exist without a specific org relationship? An event would have all three of the tables you’ve drawn (org_id, address_id, location_area_id) and then date/time.
just my $0.02

Maybe we could make organization optional. It does seem like most places would just have 1 address and not really need an org for multiple addresses.
Unless we plan on using org for other things as well.

Ran out of time so we didn't get too far but we're going spend a little more time on it tomorrow. I created a PR with what we've done so far RubyRebels/redbird#26. Feel free to comment but keep in mind it's incomplete.

@lvela well Geekdom is one address, but has multiple organizations (user groups). Unless I’m misunderstanding what an organization is. you could have address_id on organization.

Using Geekdom as an example, we were intending Geekdom to be the organization and it's addresses to be Geekdom (proper) and Geekdom Event Center. Each of those would have many areas (rooms like Tron or back room of event center).

in the “event” (no pun) that geekdom would have a 2nd address with many areas
but I see what you mean
