hey, whats the timeline for this proejct?

strictly speaking, you can use Dokomo Forms today, with the following caveats:
  1. the survey creation page does not exist -- in order to create a survey, you need to use the API (lightly documented...)
  1. the project is in flux
that should have said 2
in any case, I'd say it would be best to wait a month or two

Hi @vr2262 i want to ask about creating survey using the REST API ... do you have any non-programmers guide? only for me to understand the basic idea of using APIs and how to utilize them .. then i can do the rest by myself, hopefully! :)

Hi @amjad-shurbaji
The development effort at the moment is going toward a user interface for creating a survey (without having to use the API directly)
Unfortunately I can't say when that interface will be ready...
If you have an instance deployed already I would recommend using curl to try to POST to the /api/v0/surveys endpoint, then checking the logs if the POST fails

If you run into any difficulties please feel free to ask for more help. Sorry that the software is not quite in a usable state yet!

@vr2262 No worries at all. I will try using the APIs and i will get back to you if i run into any difficulties. My small question is, what is the form of surveys that i can post? is it XML? or ODK-like forms? Keep up the good work, i will be waiting the stable releases and will keep using it to keep on track with you :)

At the moment the application only uses its own custom JSON representation
down the line we may include support for XForms, but the two formats might be incompatible...
