    Hey All :-)

    @AzLorenzoLopez
    Good Morning!

    @SarahMcAleer
    Here is a Funny list of the type of bugs that programmers face: http://colintoh.com/blog/know-your-bugs-name

    @SarahMcAleer - That's great! I've actually -sorta- experienced a Bloombug. Many years ago, I withdrew money from an ATM and my balance increased the corresponding amount (aka, they added the amount instead of subtracting it). This actually continued to happen for several days. No, I didn't take advantage of it, and yes, they did eventually fix it, to include correcting my balance. But it was really a lot of fun watching my balance increase when I withdrew money. :-D

    As a noob, I'm familiar with the Hydra. I go fix a bug and while looking over the code I see things to fix or code I want to improve.

    I have yet to write code that I can't optimize. I consider myself a great junior developer - since I started my current job, I'm consistently embarrassed by the code that I wrote 2 weeks ago. In other words, I'm consistently learning, but there's SO MUCH YET TO LEARN! :grimacing:

    😉
    It was a big help to realize if there is an error in the console that it's not necessarily the error exactly stated which reminds me of php and working with wordpress
    Im on my way to talk to DevPoint Labs to get a tour.

    JS error messages frequently leave a lot to be desired, but in just the last year I've watched them get better, so fingers-crossed.

    I just got done with my DevPoint Labs interview. Its cool cause they have mock interviews run by real companies at the end of camp. If i get "accepted" then I wouldnt hear about the scholarship until they interview again in middle of January.
    Its good to go in person cause sometimes the website isnt updated
    metasean
    @metasean
    That sounds like one of the best ways to prepare for real interviews!
    Good luck on the scholarship!

    Hello World! Just joining the JS learner community after discovering Free Code Camp and looking for a coding meetup. Nice to meet you all :)
    metasean
    @metasean

    @annblodgett - It's nice to meet you too!

    This isn't the most active gitter in the world, but we try to meet f2f twice a month, once for the Learners' Study Group and once for the Learners' Meetup. The local Free Code Camp group also tries to meet twice a month, so you should be able to find a fair bit of f2f support. :smiley:

    @annblodgett
    @metasean Thanks for letting me know! I've joined the meetup group :)
    metasean
    @metasean

    :smile: - We'll look forward to seeing you!

    In the meantime, I've written a blog post addressing things that have come up frequently in the Learners' group - https://metasean.github.io/blog/2016/04/02/J-S-Learners-Fieldguide.html

    And if you haven't already noticed, the Free Code Camp gitter channels are awesomely active!

    @metasean Wow! Great article- I'm glad you mentioned the code katas . As soon as I get far enough through the fcc program I plan to look into codewars more. And I have,in fact ,noticed that the code camp channels are ridiculously active! Thanks again for all your help.
    metasean
    @metasean
    @annblodgett - Wow! You're a speed reader!
    I have an unhealthy addition to code katas :smirk:
    If you don't get help quickly on the FCC gitters, post again.
    I've always been able to get an answer pretty quickly
    But if the message gets swamped you may have to put it out there again

    @annblodgett
    Hey! I don't know if anyone is checking this but I figure it's worth a shot .
    metasean
    @metasean
    @annblodgett - What's up?
    Ann Blodgett
    @annblodgett
    Hi! So -There is a meetup today at the iron yard.
    metasean
    @metasean
    There is :-) I'm on the FrontRunner en route now.
    Ann Blodgett
    @annblodgett
    I was planning on going but I have a heart condition that sometimes makes me pass out/ unable to drive. Unfortunately it chose today to flare up.
    metasean
    @metasean
    I'm so sorry to hear that!
    If it's something that will ease up, we'll be there until 2
    In the meantime, is there something specific that I can help with?
    Ann Blodgett
    @annblodgett
    Ya😕 I am wondering if there is anyway for me to still participate remotely- like if I can chat in and still work at the same time as everyone else but just maybe be at home
    metasean
    @metasean
    Absolutely!
    Ann Blodgett
    @annblodgett
    Thanks! I'll plan on signing back in at 9:45 then.
    I really appreciate you answering me btw
    👍🏻

    @metasean
    Sounds great! (And don't stand up too quickly :blush:)
