2) Since you have two sets of frames with a different size, you can drag to reposition the X and Y axis of the inserted frames.
3) Before inserting the new frames, you can select any frame on the list and that index will be the index base to insert 'before' or 'after'.

@cguanes Hi there... Let me see...
It's an AccessViolation exception when opening the AVISaveOptions
Nicke Manarin
@NickeManarin
It's hard to say exactly what's causing this bug, since it can happen due to a bunch of reasons.
Nicke Manarin
@NickeManarin
Also, the faulty dll name is "lvcod64.dll", it is a Logitech driver and causes a lot of crashes on other apps... Do you know if you have the Logitech drivers updated?
The dll path is: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\lvcod64.dll
You could try to temporarily move that dll to another folder, just to test if the app can export as AVI normally.

Hi - I've been using StG for a couple months and it's great. However, I've run into a problem where I start the application and it goes directly into Recorder mode, and the selected recording area (as noted by a dashed white line) appears to be the full screen, and I cannot see the controls for StG. It seems like the controls are outside the viewable area of the screen. Any suggestion on how to get the controls back? Sorry if this has been asked already...

@jeffwmair
Hi again, I just found a solution already. I forgot to mention that I am running a laptop with an external monitor. I unplugged the external monitor so I only see the laptop display. That brought the controls into view; then I re-centered them in the middle of the laptop display, then re-connected the monitor. Thus the controls were available again. I recently changed the laptop display resolution, which may have caused the problem in the first place. :)
Nicke Manarin
@NickeManarin
@jeffwmair It appears that you are using the new recorder UI. This happens because the controls are adjusted to stay out of the way for a possible recording. And since a screen was selected previously, the controls will be dragged to the next available screen.
I need to adjust to this kind of situation, avoiding moving the controls to another screen.
You could delete the settings too (located at %AppData%\ScreenToGif), the app would reset to the defaults. Of course, this would be the last resort.

The dll path is: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\lvcod64.dll" Renaming the dll file did the trick, now it is saving the AVI file. Thank You!

@NickeManarin : thanks for letting me know about the app settings file; I didn't think to look for that.

Nicke, many thanks again Mate. I have been exp'g a slight issue ans wanted ask if there is a solution. May I know what are the optimum settings to prevent an over pixlelated gif from happening? May I add, inside the preview editor it looks great, the over pixilated gif image issue occurs when I post at FB, Twitter or Medium. Thanks and cheers, Team Kookloo.

@NickeManarin
Hi @OfficialKookloo_twitter
What do you mean by overpixelation? Are you experiencing green artifacts or it's something else?
Kookloo
@OfficialKookloo_twitter
TY for the reply Nicke. Yes, it is the green artifacts. See here from our Pinterest page: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/818599669741051894/

When saving, which encoder are you using? v2 or v1?
Try changing that, and expand the Gif Options to change the dummy color to magenta, instead of lime green.

Hi. I want to work a little of on overall translation and localization of ScreenToGif. I wanted to start from tweaking the Translator app/window and I encountered little, but important "issue". Currently all localization versions are taken from CultureInfo and it includes both neutral and specific cultures (which gives about 800 possible localizations). A LOT of them are redundant or duplicated. For example for Polish, there are two possible localizations: pl and pl-PL, which is unnecessary, because there is only one version of polish language (and that's the case for many many other languages). Specific cultures are only useful, when there are many versions of the same language, for example pt-PT and pt-BR (which are implemented in STG btw). If we remove neutral cultures and stay with specific only, we could eliminate about 300 duplicated cultures. The thing is, with this approach, we have to change every already implemented localization to its default specific localization. It's easy for languages strongly connected to one country like German or Russian (de becomes de-DE and ru become ru-RU), but for other like Arabic there is no direct connection (there are around 30 different variations of Arabic, which one is default?). We could also stay with neutral cultures and remove specific only if there is one version of specific culture (so netural and specific is the same). Which approach should i take? Or maybe just leave it as it is now? Personally i would change everything to specific cultures only, which for me seems like the most logical and organized way (and i'm sure with some time and patience it is possible to figure out how to connect aready implemented neutral cultures to its default specific versions)
Nicke Manarin
@NickeManarin
Well, that's a tough choice... Usually, I prefer to use a generic language code, specially if there's only one translation of that language.
But this sometimes confuses the people that are updating the translations.
For example, StringResources.de.xaml exists, but someone trying to update the translation can select de-de instead.
scoutboy
@scoutboy420
Ok i will do some research and try to remove specific cultures (stay with neutral) when there is only one specific of that language or there are more, but they do not differ from each other. So neutrals will be used when there is only one version of the language and specifics, when there are more and they are different in some way. I think this is a good solution.

Hi Nicke ! How do we hide the 'interface' for your program to avoid it getting seen/observed for the final output ? I wish to record my >> entire screen & then save the output as .MP4 instead of GIF. Please suggest further in the relevant context? Thanks.
