No, it was a fix for the Dropdown module that wasn't taking the clicks properly
Which still isn't working for me (x_x)
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Juan Carlos Menonita
@JuanKman94
Scratch that. I've updated to 7.0.0 and the problem was fixed :thumbsup: Yesterday I tried 0.6.2 and it wasn't working

Ok sounds good. I ended up using Babel Polyfill to fix my IE issue.

Hey all; Is there someplace I can go to read up on why semantic-ui-vue has to do such extensive rewrites of the Javascript vs. just doing something like $(this.$el).dropdown()?
I'm new to Vue, and struggling to understand. I read in that React semantic ui did it due to conflicts between jquery's management of the DOM, and React's, so I assume it's similar here. But I haven't found the actual explanation or actual failure cases, and I think it'd help me avoid some big deadends you all have already gone past :)
Thanks!

@jkeiser
(I can understand if it's mostly "we'd like to use Vue's system internally inside the dropdowns since it's a nice system" rather than "something will break horribly if we run the semantic ui jquery" :)
Oh, does the semantic ui jquery sometimes completely replace $el?
Juan Carlos Menonita
@JuanKman94
Using jQuery would cause conflicts with Vue's internal state management, since jQuery manipulates the DOM directly but it does not provide reactivity

hey all, what are your thoughts on fomantic/Fomantic-UI#319 ?
Mario Lamacchia
@mariolamacchia
It's interesting how things are going, and those are are some serious plans for 2019. At the moment this won't affect the development of this project, as we are still working on some basic features of Semantic UI, but I'll to keep an eye on it. If Fomantic UI becomes a thing and they manage to keep the repo active for long enough, it might be good considering a "spin-off" of SUI Vue.

It's good to note that Fomantic, as it currently stands is the continuation of semantic UI. The original repo hasn't seem much of any activity.
Considering the grand majority of the few thousand open issues where closed automatically by a bot, and that pull requests have been piling up for actual years. I'd recommend looking into supporting some of the changes/additions/improvements fomantic 2.x brings if anything, as I'm not sure if we will see much activity from Semantic as time goes on and other frameworks continue to pull ahead.

I am one of the maintainers of
Fomantic-UI and the Roadmap for 2019 will also contain to ged rid of jquery aswell as supporting some kind of Dom manipulation adapter, so you can easily use vue or an, other desired Dom manipulation library. See fomantic/Fomantic-UI#319

I maintain “ATK UI” framework - server side PHP+Fomantic UI integration and our projects use VUE for some widgets.
It makes sense to split up jQuery to us too.
Mario Lamacchia
@mariolamacchia

True, the original Semantic UI repo is not really active and I get why the community is so worried. However, it seems the maintainers are still trying to make an effort to keep it alive, plus SUI is still a 47k+ stars project with a lot of companies that use it on production.

With that said, Fomantic UI should work perfectly with SUI Vue right now, right?

Hi is there a way to make the sui-table sortable?

Hey, everyone
Has anyone used swipe-gesture-responsive tabs? I have a PWA using vue-routes tabs and I'd like to swipe instead of clicking the tab

Hello.
I would like to contribute to Semanti-UI-Vue.
I cloned the repository, run npm install then npm test.
It seems that some tests fails.

Hi

@mariolamacchia
Hi @exoego. What is your node version? Did you try using yarn instead of npm?
TATSUNO Yasuhiro
@exoego
@mariolamacchia My node is 8.10.0.
I do not try yarn since there are no mentioning regarding yarn in README or CONTRIBUTING.
Mario Lamacchia
@mariolamacchia
I want to understand if npm is the problem. Can you try if yarn works please?
raynox
@raynox
I struggled with the same issue, npm did not work, yarn works perfect ;)
TATSUNO Yasuhiro
@exoego
I installed yarn 1.13.0 and tried yarn install && yarn test but same issue happened.

$ rm -r node_modules
$ npm install -g yarn
$ yarn install
Try that

Sorry for too-late response.

I tried this as @JuanKman94 suggested.

$ rm -r node_modules
$ npm install -g yarn
$ yarn install

It seems that some tests now passed, but other test still fails

Hi, I probably have a really dumb question, but am struggling to find an answer and now I'm here - how can I set a default/initial value for a sui-dropdown selection? E.g., on the gender example, how could I change it so that the dropdown starts off selected as male on page load? I thought the value prop might do it, but it doesn't seem to do anything
