    We’re two weeks away from Talk.CSS 28 and we need you! What have you done recently that was interesting? https://www.meetup.com/en-AU/SingaporeCSS/events/248393588/

    This might be interesting for the CSS nerds.
    On Linux, neither Firefox or Chrome have the pinch-to-zoom feature available on Mac, which is pretty useful for designers. (On Mac, Firefox does now have this. I don’t know where Windows is at.)
    But anyway this developer managed to implement the feature as an extension!
    In the README they document some of the tricks required to pull it off.

    One of those interactions that seems easy until you have to recreate it

    Kai Hendry
    @kaihendry
    coming on where?
    Chris Lienert
    @cliener
    Colour fonts, variable fonts getting into release browsers after many years

    Prettier says it supports Sass and CSS and yet I’m not sure where to start. Seems to be a fairly new thing

    How do I set the config for CSS?
    Dony Sukardi
    @donysukardi
    it should use the default config unless specified otherwise - https://prettier.io/docs/en/options.html
    you can specify custom config in .prettierc file or under prettier key in your package.json
    Chris Lienert
    @cliener
    Didn’t we have a custom config? Realistically, I want the opposite of what you like :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
    Dony Sukardi
    @donysukardi
    for [S]CSS, only a subset of the config are applicable anyway
    Chris Lienert
    @cliener
    Something is better than nothing I’d think
    Dony Sukardi
    @donysukardi
    like printWidth, tabWidth, useTabs
    if you want more control, you could combine it with stylelint
    Chris Lienert
    @cliener
    Excellent. Thanks mister!

    Are there good SPA shell examples? E.g. with a fixed top/bottom bar
    Tim Kevin Oxley
    @timoxley
    shell?
    @kaihendry I usually trawl through dribbble or pintrest for inspiration e.g. https://dribbble.com/search?q=webapp
    Kai Hendry
    @kaihendry
    anyone implemented a toc thing in their webpage like this? https://twitter.com/kaihendry/status/1013603868133847040
    Kai Hendry
    @kaihendry
    If I want a definition list to straddle across two columns, do I use flexbox or ?
    Chris Lienert
    @cliener
    CSS column works well enough although keeping the groups together can be interesting
    Kai Hendry
    @kaihendry
    losing my will to live, trying to put a design into HTML/CSS
    would be helpful if the designer knew how HTML worked
    guess the designer must think i am idiot for not bring able to realise the blueprint

    I think I just found a bug in FF.
    meter::-moz-meter-bar { works only with 2 :
    meter:-moz-meter-optimum { works only with 1 :

    Is it a bug if it’s a prefixed, non-standard property? 🤔
    Ed Moore
    @eddiemoore
    not sure. lol.
    not sure if I should count it as a bug or not
    Sebastiaan Deckers
    @sebdeckers
    Could report on BugZilla and see what they say ... in 7 years.

    is Talk.css happening at the same time as Talk.js tonight?
    Chris Lienert
    @cliener
    Unfortunately. We’re on the same last Wednesday every month but I think Talk.JS has had trouble getting venues hence the conflict

    is Talk.css recorded?
    Chris Lienert
    @cliener
    Usually

    I'll try to help record Talk.js (if I can find a wireless mic)
