Has there been some change in Gitter in past 2-3 weeks? Don't see previous msgs anymore :|.
Ups, don't see any message :(
Linux Fedora 16 / Seamonkey 2.13.2 / Firefox 16 (even worse, don't see text input box)

@avr39-ripe :
I reproduced the http behavior in my own test environment.
It shows that the low-level networking stops responding to port 80. That doesn't (yet) implicit say that it is also caused by that. Will investigate further.

@alonewolfx2 great! Take a look to freshly commited Basic_WebSkeletonApp as starting point for web-enabled app and new way of handling wifi connected/disconnected etc events and ability to get rawBody from http response so you can communicate between web ui(javascript) and backend(sming) using json in contrast to formurlencoded etc;) waiting to alllarma app;)

What is this option
For gpio selectable boot settings or what?
Richard Antony Burton
@raburton
Mar 03 2016 21:36
BOOT_GPIO_ENABLED enables the gpio rom selection feature, which is not a new feature, but was previously enabled by default

@avr39-ripe can u show how to connect from esp to http? using the new method, what i mean is that I want to show temp and time, from esp, in my http client, so on the web server, currently I am using websockets for this, is your way better? more good? or the same just in another implementation?

@alon24 it all in example already.. Look in app/application.cpp we increment counter variable every second, in app/webserver.cpp we bind onAJAXGetState to /state url inside we form json with our counter value (here you can add your time and temperature to json) and inside files/index.js we request /state url and display counter variable (here you should add your variable parsing and display)

@alon24 I think it bit easyer way.. But may be just matter of teaste.. May be just another way to do the job.. But this way it deffinitively better than templating method currently used.. It utilize caching and app look and feel is better.. Check it out later and you'll see ;)
@alon24 and don't forget to take a look to wifi events;)

Mar 03 2016 22:29
There is also new optional arg to WifiStation.enable if SECOND arg true it save config to flash. Otherwise just apply it runtime! It breaks former behaviour, when it always save cobfig ti flash.. Same apply ti Wifi AccessPoint.enable
@alon24 can't be good rBoot advisor, didn't try it yet, but as I understand new update will allow to flash new fw, reboot, run updated fw Once! If something goes wrong, if new fw do not boot or do not confurmed by user as good and usable fw on next reboot WITHOUT any user action last known good fw will boot.. It is really super reliable and safe way to ota update..

@slaff what @raburton just released as new temp rboot is like what you released in your tasty branch last weekend.
just be aware to avoid duplicated functionality
