@avr39-ripe Do you get any output from ESP? Fatal exception or the initial boot messages?
Can you post the output here?

@slaff when I flash Websockets_sample with SSL enabled I only get this output:

then nothing is print on serial console.. device just do not respond.
sming compiled with ssl enabled..

Ok - epc1=0x4000228b seems to cause some issue directly in the ESP-core stuff...

if I recompile Websocket_sample WITHOUT ssl support - it works just fine.. even without recompiling Sming to disable ssl..

Ok - so it is the SSL support. Will not merge the PR until we can figure out what is causing the problem...

I even try to test Basik_ssl sample - either no luck.. will try the same test at home under Debian 8.. to separate code problem from host env

Seems ok to me... I will try to reproduce the problem on my device later this week. Yes and also send me the file sizes...
