    BTW I've tried to use one of the vagrant boxes you uploaded but that didn't work. Did you enable WinRM in them?
    this is the box I tried: derekgroh/windows-2012r2core-amd64-sysprep
    Derek Groh
    @derekgroh
    Testing now, used latest version of packer to build them, so they should support winrm connetions
    Derek Groh
    @derekgroh
    Seems like it only support basic connections which won't work the IP address only. tbh have been remoting into the system to perform checks (still working on a testing framework)

    @albeekj
    Hoping someone here can help me here. I am currently using Chef 12.9.41, windowsad 0.5.3, and windows 2012r2. My ou has a space in it DEV automation,OU=TEST. When ever I try to join or create an object or join to an object, I get a consistant error. " SystemCallError: The user name or password is incorrect. - LogonUserW" What might I be doing wrong? It appears the cookbook ignores cmd* information.

    Morning, for some reason my AD isn't being promoted
    Gabor Tjong A Hung
    @gavit
    nevermind, guess I have to run it twice
    Gabor Tjong A Hung
    @gavit
    How come sometimes the windows_ad seems to reboot the server and join the ad
    and sometimes it doesn't reboot and even a reboot does't help joining the ad

    Do we support ldaps with this cookbook?

    @sknadella87

    Hi,
    I'm working on windows_ad cookbook. When I try to bootstrap, I get the following error:

    I have windows cookbook and have the metadata.rb file updated with depends 'windows'

    Recipe Compile Error in c:/chef/cache/cookbooks/ad_dc/recipes/default.rb
    10.0.15.16 ================================================================================
    10.0.15.16
    10.0.15.16 NoMethodError
    10.0.15.16 -------------
    10.0.15.16 undefined method `windows_ad_domain' for cookbook: ad_dc, recipe: contosodev :Chef::Recipe
    10.0.15.16 Did you mean? windows_dns
    10.0.15.16

    Derek Groh
    @derekgroh
    @sknadella87 is ad_dc a custom cookbook you've written? Can you post or link a pastebin of your metadata?
    Aaron West
    @aphexlog
    Anyone know how to get chef to pick up the rest of the recipe to finish configuring the AD domain after windows_ad_domain causes a reboot?
