    Hello there, 2 questions, suggestions:

    1. I needed to create custom dynamic form component, the official way is nice, but there is one small feature missing IMHO: I need to be able to pass some arbitrary data to my form component. Right now I solved it by using the min field, as that is an any field. An extraData optional field would be more developer friendly.
    2. There is no way (afaik) to make the dynamic form component responsive. Are there plans to make it? It would not be too much effort.
    3. It would be great if the table component would pass the full row, not only the value for the format function. That would allow simple cases like showing two data fields in one cell a lot easier than defining a custom cell rendering mechanism with ng-template. This is important to me because I have wrapped the table in a some CRUD editor components. Passing templates to be rendered inside td-data-table html tags would be much more effort.

    Question: are you open to contributions for the above?

    @JulieMarie
    @istvanszoboszlai Hello István! We are always open to contributions, so feel free to put in PR and we will review them. Thanks!

    hello everyone, i'm trying to get a legend working on a covalent bar chart, but I can't seem to get it working. I've made a stackblitz for this: https://stackblitz.com/edit/covalent-egwuft
    I was wondering if the config object is passed to echarts at all (I have a feeling that it is not)
    Julie Knowles
    @JulieMarie

    Hi @cskiwi, Here's an updated stackblitz: https://covalent-heypfk.stackblitz.io. You need to import the legend via import 'echarts/lib/component/legend'; and then just pass the empty object as legend (I commented out line 18 in app.component.ts). Hope this helps!

    Per the documentation, you can find more information on customizing echart bar charts here: https://echarts.apache.org/en/option.html#series-bar

    Hi all, just starting out with Covalent (thanks for making this opensource BTW); I'd like to use the makrdown editor, but the ngModel binding appears not to be working. I'm using code like the following: <td-text-editor [(ngModel)]="editorVal"></td-text-editor>. Just wanted to check whether others had experienced any issues before I dig deeper. I'm using Covalent 3.0.1 on Angular 9.1.4 if that helps
    Paul K Moore
    @paulkmoore
    My bad! I was working in the context of a form and needed to add the ngModelOptions as follows:
    <td-text-editor [(ngModel)]="editorVal" [ngModelOptions]="{standalone: true}"></td-text-editor>
    Not sure if it's worth adding this to the docs, but if people think it would help I'll draft something - thanks

    Hi @paulkmoore That would be awesome Paul. Just put in a PR and we'd be happy to review!

    I am upgrading from v2 to v3. Are there instructions for this? I could not find them on the website. I was able to update the core, but I am having errors with some of the subcomponents.

    @philgetz Thanks. As it turns out, my errors were not specific to Covalent. I get the same errors when I try to update anything in my project.

    @PatrickQuest_gitlab
    I upgraded my project to the latest version of everything. I am getting the following error in @covalent/core/common/styles/font/_font.scss: (Emitted value instead of an instance of Error). The line it doesn't like is: src: url($mat-font-url+'MaterialIcons-Regular-v48.woff2') format('woff2');. Does anyone else have this issue?
    Julie Knowles
    @JulieMarie
    @PatrickQuest_gitlab Meaning you upgraded to v9 or v10? If you upgraded to Angular v10, that might be the issue as we haven't upgraded Covalent to v10 yet.

    Hello, We're using Covalent in the startup I work in. We use several layouts in our app and for some of them, we use a background image (some SVG pattern for styling the app). We have defined in the styles.scss something like:

    #backgr {
      background-color: #f0f0f0;
      background-image: url(data:image/svg+xml;base64,.....);
    }

    Then we set the background for each layout we want using the id attribute, for example for td-layout-nav:

    <td-layout-nav id="backgr">

    And it looks pretty well, the thing is that we haven't been able to set a background for the td-layout-nav-list layout using the id method or using a class.
    Have anyone done something similar? I really appreciate any insights.

    Thanks in advance.

    Phil Dominguez
    @philgetz

    @nemacrux you could achieve this with css by using a class like this

    td-layout-nav-list.blue-background mat-sidenav-content .td-layout-nav-list-content{
      background-color: blue;
    }

    Where .blue-background is passed to td-layout-nav-list
    here is a stackblitz showing this: https://stackblitz.com/edit/covalent-navlist-color
    Let me know if this covers your use case.

    Nestor Marin
    @nemacrux

    Hi @philgetz, it worked perfectly, thanks. I arrived to a similar solution using this css in the component:

    /deep/ .td-layout-nav-list {
       background-color: blue;
    }

    But liked much more your solution, thanks :)

    @PatrickQuest_gitlab
    @JulieMarie Yes, I went too far and upgraded to Angular v10. I re-upgraded my project from v7 to v9. I also had other errors to resolve, mostly due to other components being outdated. It all works now. Thanks.

    Can anyone provide some comment on this: Teradata/covalent#1810

    "... any update on policy or guidance when it comes to major Angular releases and versions of Covalent? Angular is already on RC 2 for version 11.

    This impacts our ability to keep Angular up-to-date. This prevents us from taking advantage of the latest Angular features. This also has a downstream impact on other dependencies. We're not able to upgrade TypeScript and we can't count on other Angular libraries publishing updates for old versions of Angular."

    Update: @emoralesb05 provided a helpful supported Angular version matrix to Covalent's readme. Thank you Ed!

    hey guys...I'm just wondering if I can find some documentation of the exact usage of these layout-gt-XX/flex/row attributes
    i see it in a lot of code examples, but can't find any documentation to it
    David Steiman
    @xetys
    maybe add a documentation about this to the current docs? I think that would be very good for newcomers

    Hi,
    Is it possible to disable spell check in td-text-editor?
    Paul K Moore
    @paulkmoore
    @mail2sandy42 You can disable the spell check by setting spellCheck: false in the options that you specify when creating the editor. See easymde options for the full options. Note: the version of easymde used in the text-editor lags the easymde development, so not all options may be available. I've just been looking at inputStyle an nativeSpellcheck but they are only part of easymde since 2.10.0. @covalent/text-editor v 3.1.0 uses easymde v2.8.0.

    Hi,
    this is paging bar code <td-paging-bar #pagingBar [pageSize]="50" [total]="1300" (change)="page($event)">
    <span hide-xs>Rows per page:</span>
    <mat-select [style.width.px]="50" [(ngModel)]="pageSize">
    <mat-option *ngFor="let size of [5,10,50, 100]" [value]="size">
    {{ size }}
    </mat-option>
    </mat-select>
    {{ pagingBar.range }}
    <span hide-xs>of {{ pagingBar.total }}</span>
    </td-paging-bar>
    this is TS File code::page(pagingEvent: IPageChangeEvent): void {
    this.fromRow = pagingEvent.fromRow;
    this.currentPage = pagingEvent.page;
    this.pageSize = pagingEvent.pageSize;

    Hi guys. With angular 11 released, I hoped we could see it supported soon? Teradata/covalent#1829
    nagiamadhat
    @nagiamadhat
    Hi, anyone with experience with td-chart?
    I am using the covalent scatter plot. The range of y-scale is automatically plotted according to the data . The problem is that the if the max value is like '41' the graph automatically snaps it to the closest multiple of 5 - in this case the y-scale ranges from 0 to 45 instead of 41.
    How can I stop this snapping. I don't see any property relevant to this in the documentation.

    @vhdirk:matrix.org I hear you. I have never tested any of the PRs in the past so I really don't know if this is an existing problem. I am trying to help where I can to get this moved forward. I totally appreciate your work on that PR for sure.I don't know who has access to merge it, even if I was able to resolve the unit test dependency issues and approve the PR. :sadpanda

    If only Teradata would react. I would love to know if this project has any future at all. If not, I'd happily fork it. Even if there are little to no contributions, being able to update to a newer angular version is valuable enough to me

    @ho0 I got in touch with Oseer Williams from Teradata. They've been very busy with internal projects, hence the lack of response. He did say they're going to try and invest some time in it again over from next week onwards.

    Awesome news! Thanks a bunch for the update. I was getting ready to bail. If they want adoption they really need to get some open source community support or pay attention to the chatter.
