Okay so there is a slight “modification” we need to adjust as far as HOW we handle the compensation, as I was proceeding through the business application fourm for paypal, i forgot they required it, but i did put my actual address, until they asked for a SSN. that I will NOT do. So what we will have to do, could do, we will all talk about, is set up the compensation to go to either my or coltons pay pal account, whoever, since JB cant handle USD and we are more frequently active than Charzoe, and split it from our personel account and send the splits to your personel pay pals
as a wire
other wise we are in a grid lock situation. EVEN if I put my socical to make the busniess account paypal mentioned they would need to share our busniess info with the governemnt, so that would bring upon a whole new level of taxes for us to deal with, when in reality I think perhaps, just using a personel account and spliting it off in each of our directions would be “more affordable”.
Charlotte
@Charzoe
Oct 19 2015 16:52
Yeah, PayPal requires an SSN because the IRS required banking + monetary services to gove it to them, so people cNt ise paypal for tax evasion or money laundering.
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 16:53
exactly
and seeing that we are not really a “registered” “licensed” busniess and just some “contractors” vocally agreeing to work on projects together I see it would be more “logical” to do the second option
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 16:58
So wht ill need, if everyone is okay with the compensation going to my account, i need your pay pal accounts info so I can send you halfs to you paypal accounts, then you can pull from that to you personel banking accounts. So the paypal is more or less a crossroads, and middleman/protection for all of our privacy.
Also some help writing our “about us” section on the Out-source account, "our freelance profile”, would be vary helpful.
if you each tell me about your professional skills I can copy and paste that and work with it to combined it all.

P.S. if anyone here knows anyone who can build an ecommerce site, we should consider adding them to the team
there is alot of work ive found requring our skill sets that also requires ecommerce
@/all take a look at https://www.freelancer.com/jobs/myskills/1/ and let me kno if any projects interest you guys, I wont make a move until some of you feel comfortable with the project we are all looking at

@/all look at the project I have highlighted with my mouse, do you guys feel confident that I should bid on this project? I already have an account with freelancer unlike out source.
We could EACH make around $12,500 if we ask $50,000 and put a logical time frame. Im a shark, so if im being to “zealous” with confidence in our skills let me know
Charlotte
@Charzoe
Oct 19 2015 17:36

I'll need to get a graphics tablet if im doing graphic design though

Yep, I know which one i want to get. I just dont have the cash on hand for one unfortunately
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 17:47
i hear ya, they can be expensive. Luckily in that posting they said they have that part done, so once we get the coding done and your equal half to you you will have enough by then to buy what ever tablet you want
most compensation is handled over the time of the projects development, so %30 before we start then another %30 at the half way mark and the test after we have finsihed, so once you recieve that first $4000 ish you could put some aside for a tablet and rest for school or w/e

Oct 19 2015 17:52
Now heres a postive thing to consider, our competitors who are biding on them as well are YES a group of 30ish developers working together..BUT there is one thing we have they DO NOT. There 30 developers are working on 10-20 diff projects @ a time. We can ganruntee our earily clients we will work ONLY on there prokect till it is done. Plus tat gives them the option of having better contact, since we are not a large company…yet

exxactly
ill see how much it will cost to start a freelancer.com subscription so we can start placing some bids, I @ the moment, just have a baic account with them, that just lets me view projects, one moment

Oct 19 2015 21:28
Prolly just start off with the 20 bids per month and once we make some money we can upgrade
Juan Martínez
@jbmartinez

I agree

TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:30
im just wondering about that %10 hourly fee, dose that mean we pay freelancer.com %10 of our hourly?
Juan Martínez
@jbmartinez
Oct 19 2015 21:30
I guess
do they have a faq?
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:31
im sure, hold on, we gotta problem. Look at this
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:31
And also @all not to be a party pooper or give up anyones hope. I dont think we need to even look at the 50k prpjects. First thing that comes to mind is "too good to be true" we need to start small. Do simple projects and get our feet wet
The 10% looks like we can either choose they get 10% of the fixed rate or $5
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:32
well yes and no, im as logical as anyone, and Im eager is everyone, BUT I think we should take projects we all feel we can do
and NOT judge how much theey are paying, hell if they wanted something dose for $100,000 and it was so easy, theres no reason to back out of it
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:32
Well my logic says that we arent ready for 50k projects lol
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:32
never give up a business opportunity we all feel we can accomplish
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:33
I meam think about it. How many real world projects have we actually worked on?
Juan Martínez
@jbmartinez
Oct 19 2015 21:33
we can start with a smaller project
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:33
Lets start off small to get the ball rolling
Juan Martínez
@jbmartinez
Oct 19 2015 21:34
some small/medium projects pay well and can be finished in a few weeks
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:34
No reason to try and push the boulder at the start
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:34
thats not what we should judge for accepting a project on, we should accept a project for what the project entaitles, not its compesnetion, we could find a project on out-source or freelancer for building a site for a small busniess for $500 bucks and the same thing on a diff site for 50K
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:35
Yeh i understand but i noticed u where looking for projects based on compensation and i dont think we need to do that. No offensw
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:36
i dont mean to sound cocky but, in my eyes, there really isnt a reason to bid on a project we think we can do, thus being a project that someone already has the design for, and our skills match
*not bid
Juan Martínez
@jbmartinez
Oct 19 2015 21:36
also, why do we trust in a guy who says "I want a website which makes a lot of money"?
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:37
I understand but how much do we know about actually building a project?
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:37
yea that part was sketch @jbmartinez
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:37
Just cause we have the skills doesnt necessarily mean we know how to use them
Like do u kno the first step in this project that u are looking at?
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:38
this is true, my point is we should not limit our sevles BUT at the same time we should consider bidding on projects we feel we can do
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:38
Ok ok. We will figure it out lol
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:39
well, im hoping after we upgrade the account we can get more information, im going off of what he posted, which supposdly is “verified” then after account creation, we could get on touch ad “require” more info about what he really wants
and yea
Juan Martínez
@jbmartinez
Oct 19 2015 21:39
@TheC0mposer that's a good point
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:39
okay, heres what we should, need, to do
we all should check out all the sites
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:40
I think we need to pick ONE site and focus on that
Really we just need to get going and then we can start looking at other options u kno
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:40
ehhhh, thats limiting clientell, some times diff sites will ahve what we are looking for
Out-source, Upwork, Elance, Toptal, Odesk, and freelancer. check out some projects we think we could handle, run them each by the team of what we find, then
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:40
But i feel like our best option is picking one and sticking with it
But @TheC0mposer think about it this way. How many projects do u think we are going to do a month? I think 1-5 sounds reasonable. One site should suffice
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:42
as far as subscribing goes, we should all take alook at all the sites, see what we all find interest in, then we run by the team what we all found, and take a vote, whatever project we find we subscribe to that site
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:42
I just feel like trying to juggle all these different options at once will be challeneging
We need to focus on getting our FIRST project
Not our years projects
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 21:42
and then when we are done with that subscription we will do it aagain and check out all diff sites and where ever the work is we will go
agreed, so once again, lets not just PICK a random site, we need to PICK the site to subscribe to based off of our skills and if they match the project we all vote on from what ever side
sote*
site*
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 21:45
Ok. @jbmartinez and @Charzoe any input?
Juan Martínez
@jbmartinez
Oct 19 2015 22:07
here's an interesting point of view: http://qr.ae/R45gyM
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 22:21
yea that is a point to consider, but for now, unless some of us have reffered clients, its really alls we got at the moment.
i have an idea
lets search for start ups and do code for them
?
Juan Martínez
@jbmartinez
Oct 19 2015 22:27
how could we do that?
start ups are really demanding
I think the freelancing sites is a good strategy to begin with
but we should consider those points
TheC0mposer
@TheC0mposer
Oct 19 2015 22:30
true, then I think, once again, dont mean to sound like a broken record, but start searching for projects on them ^ ^ and once we find some we all bring back what we found. Whatever project gets the most votes, we subscribed to that site to bid on it.
sounds good?
Colton Ehrman
@coltonehrman
Oct 19 2015 22:33
Ok
Juan Martínez
@jbmartinez
Oct 19 2015 22:33
sounds reasonable, in my opinion
