Is this project dead?
Im trying to implement a solution using truebit and it’s hard
Like super hard
What i mean by hard:
  • from a junior developer skillset like myself, im looking for clear end 2 end solutions with code walkthroughs and they are rare or really old
Im trying to pick apart example apps that were made from 2018 and im getting some success.
I have a fear that i will be spending a really long time to build my solution only to find iut that few people will be using the truebit network to run my code

Will Polkadot supersede eth+truebit?

@royansroyce where are you having issues? Let me see if I can help get you specific support.

@thecoinmaniac
Please make the process more streamlined and open so that new people can try using truebit tech. Instead of that there only difficulty and hurdles faced by those who want to ise this. Please open doscord to public and start creating a flourishing community
No point in all this hard work if no one is going to use this
Royans Royce
@royansroyce
I agree with you, a lot needs to change on this project to make it more easily used.
If they dont other l2 solutions might fill the gap quickly

Its very concerning of the silence.

@thecoinmaniac thanks for the feedback. Opening the Discord will make it similar to the Telegram which is such a mess that they keep creating new ones. If you are any devs need specific support we are happy to provide it.

@josh818_twitter maybe you can?
Josh
@josh818_twitter
@matrixlobbyscene I have never done this but there is a guide on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/truebit/comments/n3t4nk/tutorial_how_to_use_truebit_os_to_mint_and_retire/ . If this doesn't work I can follow up with the team.

Anyone using truebit os? Or will use trebit os?
Why can't I find my private key stored in my files after I create a new account?

Technical Question: Can WASM code be encrypted by the task giver and then have the solution decrypted by that same task giver? This way, any proprietary or private information cannot be accessed by the solvers or challengers?

**There is a network of Truebit miners (anyone - free entry system - anyone can install the client on their computer -

  • and they are listening for tasks on this contract.
  • and they see a new task is created and if they want to solve it for the reward,
    • they go ahead and download the code,
    • start up with the inputs
      • boot up their wasm VM (because all the code is wasm bytecode)
      • run it to the end
      • get the solution
      • post the solution

Can I connect truebit solver/verfier server to Ganache? As documentation says legal values for TBNETWORK are mainnet or goerli.

@yasamode_twitter truebit and truefi both are in eth network , to send one of them to a wallet normally you use your eth adresse , in your wallet you need just to add truefi

Dear kaesar .. i sent truebfi from my Binance wallet to my truebit address in my Bitmart platform.
It's not the same eth wallet 😒

Isn’t a truebit wallet just like any other walket?
Just find the password used to encrypt your geth wallet keychain
Grab the raw keychain .json files
Import the account into metamask ( it crashed my browser last time i tried this but subsequent tries worked)
Now you can use it like sny other wallet

Hello everybody,
i have read this artikel https://medium.com/truebit/truebit-the-marketplace-for-verifiable-computation-f51d1726798f and I am now wondering which of the both Incentive Layers has been deployed? Or has none of them?

Small reminder in the artikel it is stated that
Incentive Layer 1: forced errors & jackpot:
forces the solver from time to time submit a wrong solution so that the verifiers have an incentive

Incentive Layer 2: multiple solvers and pairwise verification games:
there are multiple solvers and they all release their solution at the same time and the verification game is made between the clusters of solutions.

Thanks in advance!

Josh

Hey @MikeHerman19 there is only one Solver per task
