Technical Question: Can WASM code be encrypted by the task giver and then have the solution decrypted by that same task giver? This way, any proprietary or private information cannot be accessed by the solvers or challengers?

**There is a network of Truebit miners (anyone - free entry system - anyone can install the client on their computer -

  • and they are listening for tasks on this contract.
  • and they see a new task is created and if they want to solve it for the reward,
    • they go ahead and download the code,
    • start up with the inputs
      • boot up their wasm VM (because all the code is wasm bytecode)
      • run it to the end
      • get the solution
      • post the solution

Isn’t a truebit wallet just like any other walket?
Just find the password used to encrypt your geth wallet keychain
Grab the raw keychain .json files
Import the account into metamask ( it crashed my browser last time i tried this but subsequent tries worked)
Now you can use it like sny other wallet

i have read this artikel https://medium.com/truebit/truebit-the-marketplace-for-verifiable-computation-f51d1726798f and I am now wondering which of the both Incentive Layers has been deployed? Or has none of them?

Small reminder in the artikel it is stated that
Incentive Layer 1: forced errors & jackpot:
forces the solver from time to time submit a wrong solution so that the verifiers have an incentive

Incentive Layer 2: multiple solvers and pairwise verification games:
there are multiple solvers and they all release their solution at the same time and the verification game is made between the clusters of solutions.

Is the Smart Contract anywhere available or implemented? Can i look into the smart contract code ?

What happens if the result of the verification game is that the state of challenger and solver differs already at one of the first instruction? will the trubit smart contract then compute the (nearly) whole Task on-chain ?

Hey guys. I have a question about Truebit. Where does it stand in improving ETH 2.0 given that the merge will provide ethereum with its own beacon chain that, from my understanding, is doing pretty much the same things as truebit offers? If I m understanding this wrong, what are the benefits of using Truebit as well for a blockchain like Ethereum? Is the beacon chain not taking care of computational power like Truebit does?

I have never seen a project run in this manner tbh. It's either extreme incompetence or your hiding something and I honestly can't decided which it is. Could flip a coin....both seem equally plausible. Very frustrating honestly. If dApps are the customer of Truebit this project is truly screwed. If Eth Foundation is, then I guess you'll be fine...

Why is there so much secrecy regarding what the dev team is doing? An invite-only discord and repository is pretty discouraging to the general public. Is there an end goal for this project? Pretty simple questions that no one is willing to discuss. Remember you’re a publicly listed token and you’re actively playing with peoples money by refusing to communicate.

Why won’t people understand, the team never intended for this token to be listed on Uniswap, the people that are minting it were selling it directly on the market, not Jason or the team.
