For anyone who cares (since there was some discussion about it a couple days ago in here), I just finished updating the TypeScript webpack loader ts-loader to support TypeScript 1.5. Has some advantages over some of the other webpack loaders (if I do say so myself :) )

It appears that atom-typescript always adds the filesGlob and files fields to tsconfig.json. This conflicts with the convention that when the files field is missing (not [], but completely absent), then the compiler or code editor should use all .ts files starting at the tsconfig location
Which is how e.g. visual studio code does things
It would be nice if the plugin didn't add the filesGlob field to an existing tsconfig, or didn't add files: [] when filesGlob is empty or set to null
Oh wait a minute, setting it to null does the trick
Nice!

@Mitranim that's a thing? Is that only for code editors or does it work with tsc too? I was under the impression if no files were in tsconfig then you'd need to pass them on the command line.
It's in the spec apparently

Ah, you're right. I read that but missed that part. Good to know, thanks!
