Hi @basarat. 1. I can read the file was it was open last time. 2. with tsconfig at root (and filesGlob and files empty). 3. Close the file. 4. Browse the file again 5. Hang.

@unional change the extension of the file from .ts to .js ... reopen atom ... do same steps
if it hangs its not an atom-ts thing
also still with a .ts extension check the number of pending requests ... do they go up like massively ?

B. Move the tsconfig into .x (same folder as the offend file), still hangs
No pending request seen. Complete freeze
didn't hang with .js

Couldn't debug as the whole system hangs. Can't find the entry point to place breakpoints at.

Related to file opening logic. If the file is already opened. Switching tabs doesn't hang.
I'm on Windows 2012 R2 = Win8.

No cpu load, nothing. Seems like just passively waiting for some events.
While locking the UI

Trim down the file form 9xx lines to 1xx lines, see slowness, then get the errors.

@basarat yes I know but minimap is unclickable only on .tsx files, if I disable the atom-typescript its working again, also told you before that I did read about filesGlob and if you look at the pastebin of my .tsconfig you will see that tsconfig is ok...
I don't know what is the error, I suggest you to put more options at the settings dialog, maybe I need to disable some of compiler checks that the plugin does
I only need grammar and autocomplete nothing more :P
anyway I will wait for the next release for the .tsx issue, if you want more details about this bug tell me to write them at the github site

I have this laggy problem with sublime text too, so it's not atom-typescript problem because that I decided to downgrade my operating system to win7 from win10 ( I tried many linux distros but my wifi usb is not supported :/ ) ..

@kataras I briefly tried to use atom with Windows 8.1 and soon installed Ubuntu 15.10. Have you tried Ubuntu recently? It has pretty decent device support these days and is Much nicer to develop on than windows IMHO. I haven't been following this conversation, but what is sourceMap set to in tsconfig?
