I'm going to talk to Jeremy about the nvarchar2 to varchar2 conversion to see if there will be any issues and do that to the db

Sounds good. Thanks Tonia!

nice to know they are still on track to deal with the conversion from oracle. jeremy will be happy to hear that too

With regards to deleting the Active Ingredients, since they said it's ok I will just show them a message saying that they will expire next month or something like that. Otherwise, it seems like it'll get complicated.

Maybe we should put together one of those diagrams for BLT - or do we already have one?
Tonia Roddick
@troddick
Apr 19 2016 15:48
I'll ask Jeremy if we have an architecture diagram
that exists.

Yeah, thanks for joining Tonia and for explaining that it takes time to get all the details for the PULA. I am not sure that I could have reduced the speed of the app.

@jknewson good news - sounds like EPA's team OK with getting BLT with an oracle database.

Veni, I changed ADDITIONAL_INFORMATION to a clob and added the full thing he wanted in there (I found the email for awhile ago when I tried this before). Can you check to see if it's coming through in the app for that PULA?

Cool. I'll check it out. Thank you!

I tested it for the two PULAs which had the longest ADDITIONAL_INFORMATION fields. One was 892 characters and the other was 1081. Both of them came through without any cutoff. Thanks for looking into this!

Hey @troddick, I was looking at the database and at the AI table. Some of the INGREDIENT_NAME's look cutoff to me. For eg. one with IDs 3151 and 2054.
3151 = "Cyclohexanone, 2,4-dimethyl-" and 2054 = "()-Trichloroethylidene)-a-D-glucofuranose ()= 1,2-O-(2,2,2". I think they are the same in the prod database. Do these look right? I am not sure what they are supposed to be so I can't tell.

let me take a look
Yeah, I'm not sure. That field can definitely hold more characters than that.. that must be the way we initially got them. Getting the ai table populated way back was a nightmare.. the data was horrible! this must be some of the lingering bad/incomplete data

Ok, got it.
