Should we attempt to upgrade to the new shiny angular2 rc ?

The way it's loaded seems different but overall it doesn't look too bad, probably not needed until the angular2-meteor pack updates to reflect

@Ryuzavi I'd wait until the new version of angular2-meteor is released. I suspect it will happen after ng-conf, so probably Monday or something.

but I see they have been doing a lot for the new release, and now that the rc.0 is out, I guess they want to pack it nicely, including the angular-universal
and server-side rendering

yeah they're pretty active so I suspect it'll not be too far away

I still get this fun "cannot find name 'Meteor'" error in my tutorial socially app. I've installed the latest typings with typings install registry:env/meteor --ambient and added in main.d.ts to my tsconfig (suggest in some of the older issues), yet vs code and the build itself still complain...

I've added to the open bug Urigo/meteor-angular2.0-socially#65

@Ryuzavi I'm not getting those anymore after installing typings...

@MilosStanic weird...
guessing typings install registry:env/meteor --ambient isn't the same as typings install meteor --ambient

Do you think this is stable enough to start building an app with? I really like typescript so learning towards angular2 but with meteor as the awesome backend

@Ryuzavi I am building an app already. But it's my personal project, so no risk involved except invested time. I am really hoping the next release will be pretty complete in all aspects, so yes. It will be stable very soon. At most a month from now.

I have an ionic app that I would like to use meteor on the backend for. My app has a calendar and I had some success in getting an Events collection setup to persist new events following the first few steps on the to-do tutorial on Meteor's site. But I need that Events collection in another controller, separate from where I add the events to the collection. When I try to reference Events in that separate controller it's undefined. I've tried using $scope.subscribe('event') along with

$scope.helpers({
      events: function(){
        return Events.find();
      }
  });

But Events is always undefined inside the helper. Can anyone help?
