@davidbonachera If you actually fetch the collection, as in copy it to an array your problem is most likely that your subscription isn't finished yet. If you instead loop over the cursor returned from Collection.find() you should see your data. It's also possible to include a callback to the subscription call that will be executed when the the subscription is ready. At that time it's possible to call fetch.
Ingmar Jager
@ijager
@davidbonachera You may need to update your component members in the angular zone when you're getting your data from a Meteor callback
constructor(
    private router: Router,
    private zone: NgZone,
    private sensorService: SensorService) {}

  ngOnInit() {
    this.sensorService.sensors$.subscribe(
      sensors => {
        this.zone.run(() => {
          this.sensors = sensors;
        });
      });
  }
Per Bernhardsson
@Lavan
@davidbonachera @ijager Actually, if you inherit MeteorComponent you can skip the zone as it's included in the parent class.
Though I now see that @ijager use custom services that return Observers and not Cursors.
Ingmar Jager
@ijager
yes that's true, I am using angular-style services
Hongbo Miao
@Hongbo-Miao
@davidbonachera i am using package publish-composite for multiple subscription a lot of time.
David Bonachera
@davidbonachera
@Lavan Oh tanks, i don't use MeteorComonent since the angular-service style provided by @Hongbo-Miao, i already have a callback but i was missing the zone.. @ijager thanks a lot.
@Hongbo-Miao Ok, so everytime you publish for a specific use case ?
David Bonachera
@davidbonachera
the new bootstrap alpha3 is really stunning, the os fonts rendering is so perfect !
Per Bernhardsson
@Lavan
@davidbonachera I've actually moved away from MeteorComponent as well. I need to read through the presentation by @Hongbo-Miao but I usually do that kinda thing on my phone or tablet and the last time I tried it refused to show on the phone. :angry:
Tally Barak
@Tallyb
@Hongbo-Miao @Lavan any thoughts on how to make the meteor service a generic one?
David Bonachera
@davidbonachera
Would be great to have MeteorService. MeteorComponent.
Per Bernhardsson
@Lavan
@Hongbo-Miao BTW, I finally got your presentation to work on my tablet. It just my phone that is stupid. :angry:
Tally Barak
@Tallyb
@Hongbo-Miao @Lavan @davidbonachera seems like it is going there: Urigo/angular2-meteor#358. Did not yet think how that will work with a service.
Hongbo Miao
@Hongbo-Miao
@Tallyb yeah, I will update slides soon
This new API is the discussion result with Uri, it will help us write less codes
Tally Barak
@Tallyb
@Hongbo-Miao: yeah, got it that it is the result of this discussion... Our ultimate goal is writing less code, isn't it?
Hongbo Miao
@Hongbo-Miao
yeah, I will test it first with Collection2, publish-composite, and most existing packages
Hongbo Miao
@Hongbo-Miao
@Tallyb so right now i wrap Meteor API in my slides, new API returns Observable directly, no need wrap again.
And Observable is more powerful than promise, no need to use okgrow:promise those package at all.
I will try new API in my app first see how it goes
Per Bernhardsson
@Lavan
Ok, I upgraded to Meteor 1.4.0 after running the RC and betas for a while and while it has had its strange behaviours from time to time, overall it's been great. But now after I upgraded I lost all source maps! Anyone else who have started having this problem? I'm asking here and not in meteor/meteor as my application is 100% typescript and it might have something to do with that.
Per Bernhardsson
@Lavan
So... Noone but me who's experiencing client side issues with debugging?
I can see the JS bundle, but all typescript files linked by the source map are empty.
Derek
@derekkite
I'm getting an error Failed to Parse SourceMap ...

Hello :-) just wondering if there's a virtual box with angular-meteor already installed for download?
rwdietrich
@rwdietrich
Hi again. I'm following the Angular2-Meteor tutorial and successfully got up to 8.9 InjectUser. Now I'm getting the following errors:
=> Started MongoDB. client/imports/parties-form/parties-form.ts (5, 10): Module '"node_modules/angular2-meteor-accounts-ui/build/index"' has no exported member 'RequireUser'. client/imports/parties-form/parties-form.ts (21, 10): Property 'partiesForm' does not exist on type 'PartiesForm'. client/imports/parties-form/parties-form.ts (29, 14): Property 'partiesForm' does not exist on type 'PartiesForm'. client/imports/parties-form/parties-form.ts (38, 24): Property 'partiesForm' does not exist on type 'PartiesForm'. client/imports/parties-form/parties-form.ts (39, 24): Property 'partiesForm' does not exist on type 'PartiesForm'. client/imports/parties-form/parties-form.ts (40, 24): Property 'partiesForm' does not exist on type 'PartiesForm'. client/imports/party-details/party-details.ts (6, 10): Module '"node_modules/angular2-meteor-accounts-ui/build/index"' has no exported member 'RequireUser'. => Started your app.
Suggestions to what I may have missed?
Cesar Galindo
@cesargalindo
@rwdietrich Angular2 has been upgraded to router v3. The tutorials haven't been updated to reflect this. You'll need to integrate like this now.. https://angular.io/docs/ts/latest/guide/router.html
RequireUser is no longer supported, that's now accomplished through canActivate

Hi, anyone experiencing this issue? I've tried updating the socially app to use Meteor 1.4 and it seems to work fine, but at some point in tends to crash on this same error..

rwdietrich
@rwdietrich
Thanks for the pointer @cesargalindo. Back to the drawing board
Jayson Daquer
@ezwon
PS: I'm not doing anything on the app.. I just leave it running
rwdietrich
@rwdietrich
@jaysondaquer I saw the same thing, but only on Windows. The same code seems to work fine on Linux. Because of that and the issue I've run into with bcrypt, I can no longer run on Windows, only Linux.
Tally Barak
@Tallyb
@jaysondaquer any chance the 1.4.01 is solving it?
Hongbo Miao
@Hongbo-Miao
@cesargalindo just let know in case u missed it, the tutorial and socially demo updated to v3 router https://github.com/Urigo/meteor-angular2.0-socially/blob/master/package.json#L14
Cesar Galindo
@cesargalindo
Thanks for clarifying @Hongbo-Miao, @rwdietrich, meteor-angular2.0 has been updated to v3 router, however the actual documentation/sample code still refers to v2 router.
Hongbo Miao
@Hongbo-Miao
@cesargalindo oh, i am not sure, maybe create an issue or PR?
Uri’s “office hour” tomorrow

Hi @Tallyb and @rwdietrich its a rare issue :worried: will try patching to 1.4.0.1 though.. will keep you guys posted here.. and yes, I'm working on Windows

I came too late for the Office Hours. Just saw the end.
However, I'd like it to become regular
Tally Barak
@Tallyb
@MilosStanic Uri mentioned he would like to make it regular
Miloš Stanić
@MilosStanic
yes, I heard that...
is there a recording of it, or is it live only?
