    It come up with a windows security warning when I tried to install so I passed.
    Jay Asbury
    @vbjay
    That's because they JUST released a new version. Not enough people have downloaded and installed it.
    Windows defender does a warning on installers with low usage.
    It is signed. Verify it yourself

    @vbjay Yes, thanks. I will give it a try.

    Does it not support VB is a language I installed the app and the Visual Studio extension tried to do a diff on a VB file and it says language not supported
    It says a lot more but I’m not at my computer right now so I can’t give you any details
    Jay Asbury
    @vbjay
    It has nothing to do with languages. It is a git GUI. If you want to do git operations, you use this tool. If you send a screenshot I'd be happy to help figure it out. I am actually working on a feature right now to make git signing even better in the tool. When I have free time.

    Thanks. I have seen that a couple of times. It is an intial view of a file type. We are tracking it down. Select a vb file in main window then switch to another file and back

    Please provide any info to this issue if you feel like doing so. gitextensions/gitextensions#7653
    Or if you figure out the issue , fix it. :D Be a contributor.

    Figured out the issue.

    @vbjay is there a ETA for new version?
    Jay Asbury
    @vbjay
    Since there is a workaround, I wouldn't expect a quick turn around. Also https://github.com/gitextensions/gitextensions/milestone/54
    The issue is resolved and will be in next release and I may create a cherry pick commit into release 3.3 branch. Will see what the team decides.

    @vbjay
    That issue is just the first time you view a patch from a vb file. Just switch to another and then back. You won't get vb syntax stuff but you will see a diff.

    For willing contributors:
    I added a VbXmlCompletionProvider to this repo
    You can add these two files to your Roslyn fork, in the folder Completion/CompletionProviders in the project Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.VisualBasic.Features
    It will provide HTML5 auto completion in VB.NET XML Literals, but only inside the <vbxml></vbxml> tag.
    I did this for two reasons:
    1. not to mess with other xml literals that doesn't deal with html.
    2. to support Vazor.
      I will make a VSIX for this to allow install it as a VS extension (in progress now), but my aim from publishing this, is to allow contributors to build upon to provide a generic XML literals completion provider, based on the xsd that user supplies in the context as this missing feature was described in the docs
    Mohammad Hamdy Ghanem
    @VBAndCs

    I created the vbxml auto completion VSIX. It provides auto completion for HTML5 in VB.NET, but it is allowed only inside vbxml tags:

    <vbxml>
       <!—auto completion for HTML 5 is available here -->
    </vbxml>

    give it a try:
