    @yoavweiss
    but I fixed that already... :/
    Stuart P. Bentley
    @stuartpb
    I like how Gitter's affordances for last-message editing aren't displayed on mobile, but regex substitutions still work

    @yoavweiss
    @LjWatson : What phone? What browser?
    FWIW, it works on my machine :)
    Léonie Watson
    @LJWatson
    Neither. Outlook 2016 on Windows 10.

    @yoavweiss
    Good gawd
    Léonie Watson
    @LJWatson
    What?
    Stuart P. Bentley
    @stuartpb
    Did you mean to ask me, about the HTTPS certificate issue?
    Yoav Weiss
    @yoavweiss
    @stuartpb Yeah, got all mixed up
    @LjWatson sorry about that. (and the "Good gawd" was about having no way to test windows+outlook, and thinking that you're getting certs errors from outlook)

    @yoavweiss
    Latest == 45 ?
    Stuart P. Bentley
    @stuartpb
    45.0.2454.94
    Yoav Weiss
    @yoavweiss
    hmm
    same as mine, but I don't get any cert errors
    what does the cert error say?
    @LjWatson : Changed the DNS zone's MX records. Now need to wait 3 hours for that to kick in
    Léonie Watson
    @LJWatson
    @yoavweiss the only info/error I get is the bounced emails. No Outlook cert errors. I've just installed Thunderbird and tried, with similar effect - although Thunderbird won't let me send (says address previously hardbounced).
    Will wait a few hours and try again after the MX changes take effect though.

    @stuartpb
    It's not really giving me details
    "The identity of this website has not been verified."
    Yoav Weiss
    @yoavweiss
    hmm, nothing more than that?
    Stuart P. Bentley
    @stuartpb
    • Server's certificate is not trusted.
    Yoav Weiss
    @yoavweiss
    that's kinda insulting
    Stuart P. Bentley
    @stuartpb
    Issued by Gandi Standard SSL
    Or rather, issued to Gandi Standard SSL as the OU
    Yoav Weiss
    @yoavweiss
    running ssllabs on the domain to see what they say
    Stuart P. Bentley
    @stuartpb
    Issued by Gandi Standard SSL CA 2
    It'd be nice if Chrome let users, y'know, highlight and copy the certificate information
    Like, I think whatever you did changed the certificate being used by the site
    Was it Gandi SSL before?
    Stuart P. Bentley
    @stuartpb
    @yoavweiss ICYMI Gandi's Chain of Authority is missing some links
    Gandi Standard SSL CA 2 is not a trusted authority
    Yoav Weiss
    @yoavweiss
    @stuartpb concated everything to this big ball of mud. Can you retest?
    Stuart P. Bentley
    @stuartpb
    Okay, it's green-padlocked now
    Yoav Weiss
    @yoavweiss
    cool
    (but nginx could have done that on its own, without bugging me)

    hope that fixes things for @LjWatson

    @LJWatson
    @yoavweiss the email story continues... No bounces/errors when I reply to a thread with email, but the comments aren't showing up in the thread either.
    Yoav Weiss
    @yoavweiss
    @LjWatson :/ I'll try to talk to Robin about this. the email service is still under his account, so maybe he can help debug
    Léonie Watson
    @LJWatson
    Thanks @yoavweiss :)

    @yoavweiss one possibility to consider for our Discourse instance is that we patch it locally with whatever changes we can manage to get made (e.g., with help from @stevefaulkner and others with JS and backend chops at TPG where @LjWatson and @stevefaulkner work), and then we run our patched version until such time as we get the patches merged upstream
    The backend is Ruby, I think? I dunno if anybody at TPG has ruby skills, but it’s all just code anyway, and I’m sure they would work with it to get the right changes needed
    Assuming they are their boss are willing to let somebody spend the time
    Stuart P. Bentley
    @stuartpb
    TPG?
    Michael[tm] Smith
    @sideshowbarker
    but I reckon mostly the needed changes are frontend JS changes
