    Why is the dependence of the permarecord on JS a problem?

    We already know that discourse in its current state causes problems for some users, providing a record of the goings on in a form that can be viewed in any device by anyone, seems like a fairly simple ask. Its the same reason why i set up a simple minimal dependency record of a11y gitter chat http://w3c.github.io/a11ySlackers/archives/index.html

    @stevefaulkner - current plan is:
    1) Allow emails from Discourse to get posted on the list
    2) Register the list as a logged-in discourse "user"
    3) Setup the email notifications of that user to everythang
    Regardless, I think it would be cool if we'd list the accessibility issues of Discourse and push for fixing them
    (same for perf, it would be cool to get server side rendering going for all users)

    @yoavweiss sounds perfect, and yes I very much agree that the interaction UI of discourse needs work but it is a matter of time to investigate, file bugs, suggest fixes etc...

    I'm very much aware of it, but if we want our means of communications to be accessible for everyone...
    (and I would argue that Discourse is significantly more accessible than mailing lists to large chunks of the population)

    don't think it worked
    when I clicked to edit a file it says "You’re editing a file in a project you don’t have write access to. Submitting a change to this file will write it to a new branch in your fork adrianba/paymentrequest, so you can send a pull request."

    I had a mental note to ask you if you were maintaining former Specifiction niw WICG Discourse instance and if you wanted to adjust the color scheme.

    You can use the one i made upwith WebPlatform color scheme fork. Take a look at this issue notes below.

    Forgive my ignorance - nobody has yet sent me a pull request- but isn't a fork a pre-requisite to creating a pull request? And aren't pull requests a virtue in this context?

    @sideshowbarker - I won't go into the general debate, but in this particular case, it's not a "fork copy of other people's spec" whatwg/dom@253a21b
    It's republishing an unofficial draft in order to get feedback from people who cannot participate in repos without a CLA

    @yoavweiss I don’t actually buy the claim that they can’t participate without a CLA, and anyway I believe that’s not actually the reason they want to take the work elsewhere
    I wish I could take the claims at face value but unfortunately I have reason to believe they shouldn’t be taken at face value
    but I don’t want to generate further churn about it
    people are gonna do what they’re gonna do
