Hi y'all, was wondering if someone could point out some examples of repeatable groups for users
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
Should be the same as the repeatable group example but use 'user' in the 'object_types' parameter.
The example in example-functions.php

is there a way to use orderby with cmb2's text_money? the commas are screwing things up for orderby meta_value and meta_value_num
cggit
@cggit
i resorted to removing the commas via SQL with the posts_orderby filter but is there a more elegant way?

Hi, I'm looking for a way to create a taxonomy select on woocommerce product edit screen based on conditions to match current product with few term_meta fields. Example, show only the "active" (<-term_meta) "Collections" (<-taxonomy) of the "designer"(<-term_meta) which matches to the "author" (<-post_meta) of current product (<-woocommerce cpt). I checked a few ways but couldn't find any resolution. Can someone please guide? Thankx :smile:

hello guys
have some questions about CMB2 associated with release wordpress 4.7
in new version as declarated
if i upload PDF to post
I get:
1) file
2) thumbnail
so my question about file field in CMB2
If I upload PDF by this field, does it generate thumb for my PDF?
what can you say @jtsternberg ?
or file field work another way, not like "Upload thumbnail" in posts?
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
@proweb CMB2 file uploader works the same way as it does elsewhere, so your pdf thumbnails should be created automatically.
Sergey Mochalov
@proweb
but how to get preview on upload?
blob
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
CMB2 does not support that feature yet.
do you see that the thumbnails are created and used in the media library?
Sergey Mochalov
@proweb
just a second I check it
Sergey Mochalov
@proweb
no
pdf image generation in 4.7 beta not working
or use lib which not on my server
with this plugin - https://wordpress.org/plugins/pdf-image-generator/ - all work, and images create
but with core - no one image was generated
strange things
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
it didn't work for me either. I think it has something to do w/ where core libs live on your dev server (and permissions)
Sergey Mochalov
@proweb
is where any way to localise text_date_timestamp ?
for language differ english?
Sergey Mochalov
@proweb
or textdate
if I use d M Y format all months in English
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
You can change the date format, yes. Should be in the docs: https://github.com/WebDevStudios/CMB2/wiki/Field-Types#text_date_timestamp
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
(just added it there as well)

Hi there. I'd really like to contribute but don't know which issue to work on. Any pointers?
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
good question. Let me look at issues real quick
Brian Reed
@iambriansreed
There are some in there from 2014.
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
Yah, the older ones we need to verify that the issue still exists
Honestly, this customizer PR would be awesome WebDevStudios/CMB2#468
if you feel like testing w/ the latest version of trunk and are familiar w/ the customizer
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
Also, adding validation possibilities to CMB2 core would be cool
Let me know if any of those issues look interesting to you, and i'll let you know if I think it's a non-starter for any reason @iambriansreed
Brian Reed
@iambriansreed
Thanks for the hand holding. :)
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
my pleasure :)

@bentalgad
Is it possible to set the year range of the date field to go back before 2006 (that’s what i’m seeing now, and i need to go from 1965-2000)?
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
@bentalgad While the UI/UX isn't super obvious, that is built-in: http://b.ustin.co/T5YY
bentalgad
@bentalgad
wow, that's very confusing... :(
Justin Sternberg
@jtsternberg
@bentalgad I agree. It's the standard jQuery UI datepicker
bentalgad
@bentalgad
oh, got it :) thanks!
let me test that
bentalgad
@bentalgad
Great! Thanks!
