Awesome Kirstie! x
@wingedRuslan & @monicayao - I know you don't usually come to lab meeting but it would be great if you could please make the 1 ppt slide to add to the hackmd so that we can do an overview of what you're working on: https://hackmd.io/y8CMwMqzSiujSXYKvHAC2w?both
+1 that looks fabulous (plus, watching that message evolve was fun too)
Hahahahahahahahaha - lolz
Yeah - figuring out the key to add a new line in an edit was......longer than I had first guessed
@monicayao & @wingedRuslan - thank you SO MUCH for those wonderful blog posts!! I think they're great.
I've adjusted a couple of parts of the header information to make them look a little more similar in the blog contents page and I think you both have really nice aspects that you might want to pull across for your own blog.
So please have a read of each other's posts and I'll do another review on Monday morning, we should plan to get them merged on Tuesday so you can fill in all the GSOC paperwork etc
@KirstieJane, Thanks for reviewing and great, valuable comments!
I fixed the master branch travis CI yesterday, so if you pull from master you should now have reasonable errors (or not!) when you push
Thanks @wingedRuslan!! Just having a look into why your blog doesn't appear now....
(when you build locally)
Great! Thanks :)
Pinged a reply in the PR about why your blog wasn't showing @wingedRuslan!! Its because it was in the future
wow, what an easy and tricky reason! Thanks for the nice finding
Is anyone about in the Turing Institute who could help me book a room right now? 😁
I'm not at the Turing, but I could do it from my email?
Hi @yochannah!! Did you find someone to help??
Sorry I was in a meeting
@wingedRuslan@monicayao: when you upload your reports, if there is a space to link to the specific commit in GitHub that works really nicely for Google’s requirement that it is a permanent link.
You can navigate to the .md file that is your report in the GitHub repository and if you press y the url in the browser will change to the specific commit. That’s the most specific and permanent link.
I'm laying over in Paris, on my way to Berlin for a conference, and have a very important question : can anyone recommend really good food in Berlin ?! :stew: :spaghetti: :sushi:
also, another relevant question : has anyone printed a poster there ?
@pherterich - do you have any recommendations for Berlin?
Just added @gedankenstuecke too incase he has any recommendations!
Bastian Greshake Tzovaras
Unfortunately I have no recommendations for Berlin! But how long is the layover in Paris? :D
Just a couple of hours, so I'm not even leaving the airport 😔
Hopefully be back for a real visit at some point soon !
I haven't been in Berlin for quite a while and it tends to change quite quickly and I usually just try weird vegan food...
