Hello Everyone !
I saw AboutCode's GSoD'21 Proposal and I was immediately exited as it meet my interests. I am a focused and quick-learning software engineer with experience in Python, JavaScript, Rest API, CLI tools, Git, etc.
Talking about experience, I write blogs and articles on Medium and HubPages. Previously used some tools and technologies like Markdown, Sphinx, LaTeX and Wikimedia Markup for contributions. Looking forward to contribute to this project, also I welcome the chance to discuss further.

From https://developers.google.com/season-of-docs/docs/timeline the deadline is May 17 for organisations to hire a technical writer. Updates will be posted here soon on the process.

@AyanSinhaMahapatra Yes, I have read that. But, there have been cases where we have found out late that some of the organizations have already hired in advance or very early. So, for this, I just wanted to confirm with you. :)

Also, there are a couple of projects listed on the website. So, on what can we start working? Since the number of technical writers to be hired is not mentioned as of now if I am not wrong or I have missed anything?

I am also a participant; I can answer some of your doubts if okay @pombredanne @AyanSinhaMahapatra. This is the org's accepted proposal I assume! you can just follow the statement of interest format posted on GSoD 2021.

Only one project was accepted so you'll only need to consider that one. ScanCode.io related project. Good luck

I am a GSoD aspirant from India. Last year too I applied but was unable to get selected due to the heavy competition. This year because of the severe Covid spread in India, I was unable to reach you earlier. Please reply back if the technical writer role is already fixed . @aaqibqadeer I appreciate the enthusiasm but we are looking for experienced technical writers here :) ... in a nutshell you are eligible to apply, not having the experience would mean you chance to be accepted are nil.
