hi, I need to include a custom editor for a custom-component. Is that possible and if so, how?

@rschweigert Is the change possible to make in CSS or is it a deeper change?

@simondate exactly. I created a presentation- and a question component with this framework. Both are working already. Now I'd like to make them customizable through adapt-author

One question is how it would integrate with backbone form
I think all of our editors just extend basic BBF inputs
Code editor may be another good one to look at

If that editor can output some json maybe stringify it and pass it via the form inputs
bit hacky tho

@rschweigert what’s the output of the kekule editor?
Looks like XML?

@taylortom Outputfiles are simple text file... At a pinch the framework ships with a CKEditor-Plugin http://partridgejiang.github.io/Kekule.js/demos/demoLauncher.html?id=ckEditorPlugins. But I'd like to do a little bit much more

I’d imagine you could quite easily install the CK add-ons

Okey, I think I will start with the CKEditor-Plugin. But now it's time for lunch... ;-)

@rschweigert I created a CKEditor Plugin to create Buttons here. There is also some boilerplate code to load the plugin. It's my first try so if you find a better solution let me know :smile:

properties.schema: is there a ready-to-use inputType for radio-buttons?

you can have a Checkbox input type

Jan 23 14:55
I think there is a radio type in backbone forms, we don’t use it anywhere though as far as I know
You could also use a select

I need to select between two options. Will try the backbone-forms radio. Drop-down would be another option...

You can also use checkboxes as @lc-thomasberger suggested — good for true/false
Not sure what your use case is

I am still working on the chemistry-plugin. It has a viewer, that can display chemcial formulars in 2D or 3D. The user should be able to select one of them http://dev.infotracks.de/#/id/co-10

we use dropdowns for a fixed set of options

@lc-thomasberger It works, but when i change the default to "video/youtube", it is not preselected

might be that it only selects the first item ... not quiet sure tbh

@lc-thomasberger I deleted the first (empty) option with the same result
@Wolfen1906 What issue do you have?

@rschweigert, radio buttons work in my quick test in case you're interested
"_dimension": {
  "type": "string",
  "default": "2D",
  "title": "Dimension",
  "inputType": {
    "type": "Radio",
    "options": [
      "2D",
      "3D"
    ]
  }
}

@taylortom Same result. It starts with an empty drop-down box. Seems to be the default.
