@ninode97
how to ensure that assets being moved to assets directory from the theme?
image.png
I am able to move only those .pngs that are pointed in the properties.schema.
but if I just place other needed image assets they wouldn't be moved to assets on folder on the course build step
Oliver Foster
@oliverfoster
Different assets folder.
One is in the root, the other is in the course folder I think.

@ninode97
@oliverfoster Thanks for response!
Would it be possible to have static assets from the theme (plugin) without pointing them in the properties.schema?
image.png
Only default_0 and default_1 are being moved to the course folders. but those 2 other images are not being moved..
Oliver Foster
@oliverfoster
All included plugin assets get copied to the output. They have nothing to do with the schema.
Plugin assets and course assets are different things.
See the adapt-contib-media for an example.
You have to force rebuild in the AAT to copy new plugin assets if you've reuploaded a modified plugin.

@ninode97
Sorry!
It worked I just needed to reference it in .less as url(assets/assetName.png)
Thank you very much!

@k-jensen
@oliverfoster nice nice, was going to try it out in the authoring tool, but I think the src needs an "Asset:audio"? it's "Asset:other" at the moment
Oliver Foster

cool, ta
fixed

thanks, all working now, love that you can put it anywhere, really useful!

almost anywhere

@k-jensen
You mean my course title can't be 6 audio files?! outrageous xD
Oliver Foster
@oliverfoster
actually, i think i'd steer clear of putting it in the page/course titles altogether
it seems to come out in the brower window title
that's something i need to think about

Hoping someone could help me out with a question I've been asked about the adapt-close plugin:
"Does it always just try and close the window or is there a setting to unload the course and replace it with a generic 'thank you' page if it can't?"
Oliver Foster
@oliverfoster
nope, the only way adapt-close can close the window is if it was opened as a popup
and it will never not be able to close a popup
unless there is a bug
Oliver Foster
@oliverfoster
you'd have to modify it to achieve what you need
when an lms is configured to open the course in a new window, the main lms window uses window.open() to open a popup containing the course. only windows opened with window.open can be closed from either the parent window or the child window
normal windows cannot be closed programmically

@oliverfoster: thanks for shedding light on this 👍️

When we visit course page, all components / blocks / articles are loaded at the same time?
Would it be possible to wait for background-images being downloaded (While loading background-images) to show loading bar?

I'm trying to add styling to a single instance of a Notify popup by adding a class to the component, but because Notify isn't a descendant of the component, it doesn't seem possible to select it using CSS/Less. Is there a solution I'm missing?

Pretty much

Would it be possible to wait for background-images being downloaded (While loading background-images) to show loading bar?

It depends where the background images are in the dom

It depends which component. Hotgraphic for example, has the class hotgraphic on the notify, whereas the feedback notify for questions has data-adapt-id=[_id] and is-[_component]

Are there any guides/examples for using the CSVeat package? We really want to try automating course builds, so I'm trying to find the best tools for this sort of thing. Appreciate any other suggests. So far my list only consists of rub-cli and CSVeat. Not sure if there's anything else out there which can help.

Can Adapt courses be published as SCORM 2004?

OK I think I've found my answer. Looks like it's doable but only manually, and not very straightforward.
Oliver Foster
@oliverfoster
It's pretty straightforward. You mostly need a custom spoor extension.
