a bit of topic question, but I still try it here:

in setup.py i neeed the keras-contrib@https://github.com/keras-team/keras-contrib.git as REQUIRES_INSTALL package.
Everyting works fine when installing with pip -r ..., BUT when tha package is built as wheel, then

ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement keras-contrib (from superduperpack==0.3.5) (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for keras-contrib (from superduperpack==0.3.5)

Help appreciated!

@aviramha if you are not yet on 0.6.0 aiokafka, please update, there were a few issues fixed

Those errors are usually fine if a few are thrown. Do you have a lot of partitions, I think the error may be printed for each one, which may be the reason of spamming.

If you are actually seeing constant spamming of this error, than you need to check your brokers, maybe Kafka can't elect a new coordinator. If nothing helps feel free to open an issue in aiokafka's bug tracker

Logs of how exactly it's spamming would be helpful in that case

where do I store the salt generated by bcrypt? Is there a way I can persist it other than db?

You shouldn’t need to store the bcrypt salt, as the hash created by bcrypt already has the salt embedded

I'm getting a socket hangup error for an API

I'm not sure what's causing it. I'm just returning a jwt token generated via web.json_response method. Can somebody guide me in figuring this out?

Lads I have a question about hosting an aiohttp.web.Application on CPanel using WSGI. I've been looking into how to do this for some days now and still haven't figured it out. If someone can help me that would be greatly appreciated.

Hey aio-istas, I wanted to share another project that I have been working on which is quite relevant for those using asyncio and need to interact with Databases.

aiopyql - https://github.com/codemation/aiopyql

An asyncio ORM for interacting with databases in a more sql like way using python. Because all queries use JSON serializable data structures, it makes it very appropriate for the API space. This comes native with some more advanced features like caching, schema discovery, and query queuing . Currently supporting sqlite, mysql.. postgres still in the works, I would be very happy to hear what others think of this so far.

@agronholm it uses aiosqlite and aiomysql for the connections / cursors. aiosqlite seems to use threads, aiomysql is less obvious. The library itself does not create threads, but has Tasks attached to the main event_loop that holds connections and cursors open to re-use when possible.

Hi everyone, I want to ask for help, I am having trouble for integrating aiohttp with kafka consumer (using kafka-python 2.0.2 package), kafka consumer keeps blocking the main thread on start-up app. I've read the aiohttp doc about background task, but still no luck.
can someone help me to prevent kafka block the main thread and able to run alongside with aiohttp server?

Hi Guys, i'm looking for a way to check headers in request in order to verify if there is a token or not. i was thinking of middleware but when i'm in it i don't have acces to the request object properly, so i was thinking about a decorator to apply on every route that i declare, what's your opinion ? thanks for your time per advance ! cheers

Hi team, weird one. I'm using asyncio and aiohttp for a webserver using python3.8.
I'm getting continual ConnectionResetError: Cannot write to closing transport errors when I uncleanly leave the hosted page.
I see it's fixed in 3.7.2, which I'm on.

Confirmed, Using 3.6.3 same code and same unclean exit from hosted page only results in
[2020-11-09 11:10:55] WARNING:aiohttp.websocket:websocket connection is closing.

Hello guys! I made a python server with aiohttp/asyncio. There's a client who sends data every 30 seconds that I store in a db. I noticed that after a few hours data wasn't getting registered anymore. It looks like the server applies a soft blacklist to the client, because if I change the IP of the client the server accepts the requests, also if I just restart the server. I have been reading the docs but can't find what to do to prevent this from happening.

@agronholm I have not but I'm not fond of the way that it uses prepared statements. Not to mention that we still have a few rather old PG servers in my target environment.
