@ljharb
this is a channel for airbnb's javascript style guide, not a general help channel - good luck tho

voloszad
@voloszad
Hi, is anyone here who can help in eslint config? I have a problem with spread operators
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
this isn't a generic help channel; it's for discussing airbnb's javascript styleguide
what's your question tho
voloszad
@voloszad
oh you mean styling, is there a channel for airbnb eslint coding standards/config?
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
this is the channel for airbnb's guide, which covers coding standards, config, styling
not general javascript or eslint questions tho

for rendering a table data with 500 rows , which is better whether <tr> (or) <li>? which tag is better to increase the performance speed while rendering.
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
neither. no human can look at 500 rows at a time, so why would you render that many
Sundara akilesh
@sundartinesh
if so, what will be the result?
can i prefer li or tr?
or anyother solutions ?
Sundara akilesh
@sundartinesh
@ljharb
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
my suggestion is to use something like react-virtualized, and only render the rows a human is looking at

I am new to react native .
I followed the below tutorial and got the slider working. https://medium.com/@rossbulat/react-native-carousels-with-horizontal-scroll-views-60b0587a670c
but the problem is when I run in ios simulator I see only one element
so I tried adjusting the container width to 50% in styles.
but not working.
one more thing is in simulator I need to click each item to swipe to left
its not working as normal swipe.
can you let me know how to enable the swipe in the simulator.
I debugged the code but not sure where I need to enable.
but in codesandbox swipe works fine
can you tell me how to fix it.
providing my code snippet and sandbox below

Hey guys! Any chance for v19 release pretty soon? I use version 2 of eslint-plugin-react-hooks which conflicts with the peerDependency setup of the guide. Fix is already merged: airbnb/javascript@3493b06 @ljharb
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
a v9 is not likely very soon; we'll probably wait for eslint 7 to come out, which also involves waiting for all our deps to update
but that's not a major change, so i might do it in a minor

Hey guys. I have a problem connected with "vuex-map-fields". Same problem with "vuex-pathify". I want the second option to work for me, which can be seen in the screenshot. But I can only make it work with the first option, what can I do? Thanks.

Callbacks are TOOOOOOOOOO Complicated . A lot of people does not understand Callbacks, me is one of them :(
Unfortunately I saw a lot of callbacks youtube tutorials about Callbacks, but it's totally confusing for me
and I think for a lot of people also
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
understanding asynchrony in JS is critical tho
there's no way around it
Mile Mijatović
@mijatovicmile
do you understand Callbacks @ljharb ?
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
yes
Mile Mijatović
@mijatovicmile
what's your opinion, is it hard to understand generally ?
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
i think once you get the general concept of async, it all falls into place
Mile Mijatović
@mijatovicmile
maybe, I don't know

Hello!
May I ask whether '/' could be added as a marker for the spaced-comment rule? (https://eslint.org/docs/rules/spaced-comment)
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
like for TS-style /// comments?
Kristóf Poduszló
@kripod
':' and '::' were added as exceptions for Flow in https://github.com/airbnb/javascript/pull/1966/files, and adding / would also solve it for TypeScript
yes

Sorry, I didn't know it was already merged to the master branch
I was using the latest version published on npm
Thank you for answering!
Also, eslint-plugin-react-hooks@3 has been released recently. May I open a pull request to relax the peer dependency requirements?
Jordan Harband
@ljharb
sure! please also help me out by explaining the breaking changes
(in the PR)
