@rogeralsing can you merge my PR for team bios? I submitted one to the template repo also. Looks like the site got regenerated and blew away the bio PR that was merged directly
PR >> akkadotnet/template.akkadotnet.github.com#2

@rogeralsing I don’t have the write access to the docs site you had mentioned, so I sent in a new PR (akkadotnet/akkadotnet.github.com#7). @Aaronontheweb can you pull that in so I can finish setting up the getakka.net custom domain?

@rogeralsing new domain up and running. LMK if you want a forwarding email address at that domain too (e.g. info@getakka.net => akkadotnet@gmail.com)

@Horusiath I created a PR to solve the surrogate type issues in serialization. surrogate type instances that are not part of a message can now be translated if they implement ISurrogate

@rogeralsing awesome, thanks Roger - I'll take a look at that PR too. Had some issues with that stuff myself (bugs in my code) when I was working on the remote router stuff last week.

did you look at the orleans code?
Aaron Stannard
@Aaronontheweb
Jan 26 2015 18:52
nah, not really - might take a closer look at it next week
working on wrapping up some content for Petabridge this morning, then I'm going to resume @smalldave's work on debugging / QAing the MultiNodeTestkit this week
the Orleans stuff should be interesting - I'll be curious to see how they did cluster sharing in particular

so the fallback config stuff.. any idea how we should solve that?
Aaron Stannard

I think there's a method on the HOCON classes in Scala that allows you to essentially merge all of the fallbacks into one object
it will do a precedence check - so you think of the HOCON Config object as a left --> right linked list
if we're merging the configs together, we need to see if the leftmost config has a definition for that seciton first
if so, then the leftmost section's config value simply overwrites whatever is in the fallback
and unfortunately, we'll have to do this down to ever individual HOCON key
but in the end you'd get the exact same type of result you' expect when performing lookups on a chained HOCON Config object
does that sound like a reasonable approach?

looking for some feedback - we're working on publishing some professional reference Akka.NET code samples as part of Petabridge's training tools for Akka.NET
here's what I've done thus far - anyone have any comments on the quality of the content or the structure we've set up? https://github.com/petabridge/akkadotnet-code-samples
what we*'ve done - whoops :shipit:
