@rogeralsing I'm finding them as I go. Until now, I found it would be good something to explain stashing, and something to explain Become/Unbecome
But think I'll publish the updated docs first as I'm creating a lot of things from scratch, and then we can take a look and see where these drawings would make more sense

I've just noticed the NuGet packages are missing icons. Which of the icons is preferred? I'll update the nuspec files

ouch, wonder what happened to them

I think it's because the docs have moved into their own private repo and NuGet just serves straight from the provided URL

oh ok I dont know if we just used the default logo with text "AkkaNetLogo.Normal"
AkkaNetLogo.Normal.png
btw. whats the status on the book deal?

I'll update the NuSpec files pointing to that logo
It's going really well, everything's signed, ToC is finalised and sent to reviewers, and I'm about 1500 words into chapter 1

I'm planning on taking a couple of months off after uni to dedicate full time to it so hopefully it might be done before the original planned deadline of the start of December

Have you set a title for it yet?

Yep, it's called Reactive Applications with Akka.Net, there should be a page up on Manning soon

question for the docs: The PriorityMailbox now is called UnboundedPriorityMailbox right?
Aaron Stannard
@Aaronontheweb
Apr 19 2015 17:24
@nvivo not sure what's in the source code, but for nomenclature purposes I'd just generally call it the "PriorityMailbox"
I don't think we have any bounded mailboxes built in yet
although the message queue support is there
correct me if I'm wrong
Roger Johansson
@rogeralsing
Apr 19 2015 17:25
one note to include, the unbounded messagequeues are non blocking, while the bounded are blocking (and non existing atm, but the JVM versions are)
out of curiosity, are there any plans to add blocking mailboxes?
(now I see, this priority mailbox is an abstract class only, there is no implementation yet)
Roger Johansson

Apr 19 2015 17:27
we should add all the mailboxes and messagequeues in JVM, but the interest for the other impls seems sparse
Aaron Stannard
@Aaronontheweb
Apr 19 2015 17:27
we should create an issue for it and mark it as up for grabs

i don't know, it seems some of them are there maybe for historic reasons
Roger Johansson
@rogeralsing
Apr 19 2015 17:28
stop :) the prioritymailbox is abstract as implementors should implement their own priority generator
the actual priority code is in UnboundedPriorityMessageQueue

Apr 19 2015 17:29
hm, ok!
makes sense
we've had multiple PRs now where all tests pass
but XUnit still crashes at the end
Roger Johansson
@rogeralsing
Apr 19 2015 17:30
@HCanber found the issue in xUnit and made a PR for their repo, but it was not accepted as 1.9 is obsoleted
they do weird shit with threads and hook up on standard io or something like that
btw @nvivo the behvior docs is great, love the dotnetfiddle examples
@nvivo but back to the prio

fuck baby pressed the keyboard :P
either way, users of priority mailbox create a subclass of it, and then register that type in the config so that you can assign it in the props
Natan Vivo
@nvivo
Apr 19 2015 17:32
right. I'll create an example for it
Roger Johansson
@rogeralsing
Apr 19 2015 17:32
so they can prioritize their own special messages in whatever way they want
I think @Aaronontheweb might have a complete sample of that from his old MarkedUp company code, you used it there Aaron, right?
