@mkamonster @Aaronontheweb the web api fork of the sample/cluster has been published to https://github.com/tstojecki/akkadotnet-code-samples/tree/WebApi
@Aaronontheweb i have also sent you an email
i am happy to issue a pull request if that makes sense
i have removed most of the code from the mvc app to simulate more of a spa scenario: index.html calling webapi via signalr

hey guys - off topic - i found very interesting the kind of performance analysis they are going into for the asp.net vnext, including comparing speed of scala vs asp.net. this will probably make a huge difference for high performance applications in the .net space, and that certainly includes akka + web api

15x in favor of scala ;) but they didn't tell any tech details?

TIL what is HTTP pipelining - do we have something in .NET world, which supports it?

@nvivo didn't he also mention Helios?

MS Helios <> Akka.NET Helios ;)

:(
ah, MS Helios is yet another web server?

yeah, I don't think they mentioned akka.net directly there. but my interest is because currently, it doesn't help akka to handle millions of requests and your http entry point handling only thousands req/sec

not quite, they don't map 1:1 ;)

at least they are showing interest in this, and comparing real stuff
I agree. it's just a general concern

thx @raymens , I want to release Akkling.Persistence this week for Akka.Persistence integration - I want to get some feedback from F# community how we could shape it
TBH, I'm curious if Akka.NET could have some possible participation in game engine field, such as Unity etc.

@Horusiath yeah, I totally think it can - @jweimann's a pretty serious Unity3D user
he's built some Akka.NET code to act as a game lobby system for multi-player games
although I don't know if he ended up deploying that or not :p

I know that Unity has it's own mutliplayer layer module, and to be used with Akka.NET we need to backport it and solve some concurrency issues

Unity's also running an older version / their own fork of Mono
I think we need to stay focused on implementing what we're already taking on

yep, and they're making they own version of .NET compiler, il2cpp
