Great … how’s that coming along?
Once that’s done, I can take a look at persistence-query

We have a version that's at least compiles ;) we are currently porting the tests but it will take some time to fix all the bugs and workarounds that we have taken to fix the compiler errors
If you want to take a look you can see it here:
Of course you can also join if you want :P

sure, can you carve out a piece for me?
I’ve just done a full sprint on bringing persistence up to date, so I need a day or two to cool down :)
and by the way, there’s a massive PR needing to be reviewed for persistence :)

And a separate room for discussion and questions
I don't think so, do you have a account there?

@Horusiath @Aaronontheweb maybe it would be a good time to create the Akka-streams branch in the core repository as @Horusiath suggests a few days ago

@Silv3rcircl3 @cconstantin I'll try to push my akka-streams to side branch on the core repo this week
@cconstantin thanks for willing to join the effort, I think we are pretty close to making it happen

actually here it is: #1727
I've also talked with ktoso from lightbend - akka.http module is probably out of the reach of community (it has taken 2 years and 4 people to implement it on the JVM side)

also bad part is that there is no good comprehensive technical overview for akka-streams internals. They never go deeper than top-level DSL, you won't learn how things such as fusing really works until you read the internals yourself
also I've already mentioned that Intel with cooperation of akka team has build distributed version of akka-streams working on the same DSL: http://www.gearpump.io/overview.html

Hi All,

I am having one issue about akka library logging mechanism. Application logs actors activities as normal as you would expect until I kill any actor in hierarchy. Killing actor with Poison or Stop doesn't change outcome. When actor dies, I can observ one or two more message in log file and completly stops. I was using serilog extension for logging and even I removed it, still issue continues. Btw, even logging functionality stops, live actors are still performing their duties. Any suggestion how can I debug this type of problem?

I am using Akka and Akka.Remote 1.0.6

@BCoskun that sounds.. odd. Could you make a github gist which reproduces your issue? That way we can easily test whats going on.

@Danthar, that would be challenging because I am working in enterprise enviroment and I can't share the code with outside world :-1: also there are some database level depencenies in the project as well. However I did some experiment and wrote simple actor application does nothing but creating bunch of actors and there was no issue when I kill actors. I am suspecting that something odd on my library stack and I wonder that how easy to integrate akka source code into my solution to debug the issue on my project level. Meanwhile any suggestion also appreciated how this type of low level issue can be debug in corporate enviroment as well.

Wow, I found something interesting, I tried to downgrade from 1.0.6 to 1.0.5 and the issue gone.

Hmm thats interesting.
Can you log an issue for that please? And please to try to describe how your actor tree looks like. And where the actor kills takes place. Supervision strategy's (if they escalate is the most important part)

Sorry I am new the library. Fankly this is my first project and trying to learn much as possible about akka.net so I might not descripted as much as you expected but I will try.
