Hello, my name is Stephane, I live in France and I am new to the cat. I realized with my raspberry an Alexapi by following all the instructions. that I reboot my raspberry I hear "hello", I ask "Alexa what time is it?" Alexa starts talking and blows this cut. So I made the command "sudo systemctl status AlexaPi.service" and I got the message:
jack server is not running. jackshlmreadwritePtr init not done for -1. yamloadwarning is deprecated..... Does someone have an idea
what jack server?
thanks you very much
Neophilim
@Neophilim
@stef60 It doesn't matter
If you are using HDMI for that instance
Just wait until properley booted
takes 20 seconds or so on a raspberry pi 3B+

@kellalabderraz1_twitter look at this one

Hello, I have AlexaPi on the Pi4 4GB. I was wondering if there was any problem with Alexa Question of the Day? Because whenever I give my answer it doesn't respond and seems to just reset. I haven't found anything online about this. I know this might be a silly question but yeah, thanks in advance!

@CarlosPCL98 you sure you are installing yaml for python 3 and not version 2? If you open python3 and type import yaml and hit enter, what does it say?

OK ive got a crazy idea. i'm (most likely) going to build a full size r2-d2 with a bunch of bells and whistles. My question: is it hard to change alexa's voice responses or build an add-on to make it respond in droid whistles? that would be sooooo cool

No. it would refer to your Device ID on amazon

Is it okay if I ask a small question? I went through the wiki but couldnt find anwer.
My AlexaPi only works in debug mode. When it starts normally, it does say Hello but doesn't respond to my voice. Did anybody else run into the same problem? Should I open an issue with log?
