Hi guys, I'm getting this issue in hermes-consumer ERROR kafka.consumer.ConsumerFetcherThread - [ConsumerFetcherThread-platform_rest-study-vendor_platform.rest-study-contact-subscription_7a76960cb3c7-1509715688222-b9ca84e3-0-150], Current offset 3 for partition [platform.rest-study-vendor,1] out of range; reset offset to 10
Apparently it started after a subscription error, I mean one service was deactivated and the subscription was kept and after that all subscriptions in the topic stopped to work

hi
is this the only error you see?
and if you could add Hermes version you are running

@adamdubiel we are using hermes-0.11.4 and our kafka is kafka_2.11-0.10.0.1
and we saw only that error

i wonder what you mean by " all subscriptions in the topic stopped to work". So you have like topicA with subA -> serviceA, subB -> serviceB, subC -> serviceC . and then serviceA is removed, but subA stays. and then - after some time or immediately? subB and subC stopped sending events?
sorry for asking simple questions like this but i want to understand the whole setup :)

no worries, after some time it started and we saw in the log error messages related to that (make sense the service was removed)
as a workaround we suspended all old subscriptions and recreate them, it looks fine now
we have suspend the subscription of 'serviceA' first, but it didn't work

hmm but subB and subC (other subscriptions) are different consumer groups, so even if sth went wrong with subA (probably offset that it was trying to reach was out of scope due to message retention), it should not affect others
do you gather metrics?

@adamdubiel hi, no, we don't gather metrics
