also, i don't know if it's a bug in ralph 2.x, but it seems like for some devices i'm able to modify the physical parent field and for some I can't. Do you know why that is?

Hi,
I saw that you only support Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty
I would like to know if someone try to test Ralph3 on Debian Jessie ?
Mateusz Kurek
@mkurek
@pydubreucq probably not, but it should work fine - we do not depend on any ubuntu-specific package (for now, but we cannot predict what will be in the future); https://github.com/allegro/ralph/blob/ng/docker/provision.sh - here is list of our system packages dependencies
Pierre-Yves Dubreucq
@pydubreucq
Ok thanks
I will try now on Debian Jessie and I will tell to you if it's work fine
Mateusz Kurek
@mkurek
ok thanks

I've checked the list of packages and it's ok

Ralph3 seems to work fine on Debian Jessie
I just have this error when I use raplh command:

I'd tested Ralph2 and I can say that Ralph3 is beautiful ;)
Thanks

@vi4m
they are just general warnings, we will eventually get rid of them, will we @mkurek ?
glad you like new interface. It will improve even further (advanced search) and later - some visualization on the home screen

@jazsa
hi there - I have downloaded/installed ralph 3 yesterday on ubuntu 14.04
there is a typo that needs fixing - how can I share a screenshot here
I know someone did before

also I added 3 assets but all of them are listed as asset objects - is this a bug?
how would you distinguish between them
?
Mateusz Kurek
@mkurek
@jazsa you should add DataCenterAsset instead of Asset (it's inheritance-related - we'll work probably in next two weeks to fix it)

thanks mkurek
I will give it a go
now in the above screen what are those baseOject object listing ?
does it require fixing too?
jazsa
@jazsa
I added datacenterasset as well but they still come as same asset objects in the list. They are 5 of them now. no distinction.
lol I am just beta testing everything
Mateusz Kurek
@mkurek
yes - it's the same problem (inheritance-related). wherever you see sth like BaseObject object or Asset object it's the same problem. Stay tuned for updates for this bug in next weeks
jazsa
@jazsa
beautiful - i figured that out as well, so the drop downs are those assets you created in case if you want to link them
if you guys have any testing plan, I can go through it, if it helps
ralph 3 looks very light weight, easy and uncluttered.
kudos to the whole team. Well done
hugely appreciate what you guys are doing.

Hi,
I would to know if it's possible to translate Ralph ?
I would like to translate it in French
Best Regards
Mateusz Kurek
@mkurek
@jazsa thanks; we're in beta phase, so we appreciate every feedback and any bug reported
@pydubreucq of course - we're using Django translation mechanism everywhere - https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.8/topics/i18n/translation/
Pierre-Yves Dubreucq
@pydubreucq
Nice, I will do soon as possible
Mateusz Kurek
@mkurek
first of all i'll generate all necessary files - give me a minute
