we always have something more important, and it's quite easy to do

@damian1976
@spencewb16_twitter you can look at as an example http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22336075/linux-process-into-a-service

Hello :)
@xliiv Catching you here ;)
xliiv
@xliiv
ok then you're using deb?

@marzipanic
Back at this project. When i run "echo $RALPH_DEBUG" it kicks back "1"
(So, still not able to get Ralph working.)
I mean, that should be correct, since I have debug mode turned on, per the settings. But for whatever reason, I still get a 500 error when attempting to visit the IP address of the site
Miriam Cox
@marzipanic
I should note, that visiting the IP kicks me to "http://10.139.42.183/login/?next=/" so redirect is working. But for whatever reason, nothing shows up there. Hmm.
(Just a 500 server error)

@vi4m
when you do sudo it probably clear this variables
maybe try something like "sudo su -" and then set all variables, and then run ralph ...
(i'm just guessing right now)
setting RALPH_DEBUG should show all messages instead of 500
so i suppose it is not recognized
Miriam Cox
@marzipanic
Ahhh, hmm.
Miriam Cox
@marzipanic
Ralph command isn't recognized for the root user
hm.
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
you have to export all variables again (including PATH)
Miriam Cox
@marzipanic
Did that, and checked (with env command)
Still getting server 500.
I will try running this on a fresh ubuntu install next week. Could be an issue with the set up I'm on.
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
maybe @mkurek has some idea
looks more like an installation issue to me

http://ralph.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html#apache I've been trying to follow this, but i think this is for an older version. is there an updated doc on how to deploy ralph using apache?
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
no at the moment.
should be quite similar, we still use gunicorn
but we prefer nginx
swb
@spencewb16_twitter
hmm ok @vi4m I will check this out
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
when run in docker, but should help you to understand the basic idea
should be easy to setup
swb
@spencewb16_twitter

every time i try to setup ralph with apache/mod_wsgi (no docker setup), i end up getting this error:

File "/opt/ralph/ralph-core/lib/python3.4/site-packages/django/conf/__init__.py", line 92, in __init__ mod = importlib.import_module(self.SETTINGS_MODULE)

File "/usr/lib/python2.7/importlib/__init__.py", line 37, in import_module __import__(name)

File "/opt/ralph/ralph-core/lib/python3.4/site-packages/ralph/settings/__init__.py", line 1, in <module> from ralph.settings.base import * # noqa

File "/opt/ralph/ralph-core/lib/python3.4/site-packages/ralph/settings/base.py", line 9 def bool_from_env(var, default: bool=False) -> bool:
_____________________^

out of curiosity, does anyone know what this means?

@mkurek
@spencewb16_twitter what exact version of python 3.4 do you have?
swb
@spencewb16_twitter
python 3.4.3 @mkurek
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
@spencewb16_twitter can you use python 3.5 ?
swb
@spencewb16_twitter
i suppose i coulddd, is 3.4 the problem? if i upgrade to 3.5, is that going to break an existing ralph server i've setup?

Hi
Is there any plan to be able to add images of front/rear devices on the rack view ?
damian1976
@damian1976
Hi , it seems I have also some issue related to python or django. Currently running with py3.4.3 and django 1.8.12 and nginx. After 2 or 3 days after server is launched in daemon mode (DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE=ralph.settings.local ralph runserver 0.0.0.0:8000 & ) I start getting 502 (Bad gateway) in the web browser. 'ps' says the process is alive. After restart everything is back to normal. Then after another 2, 3 days .....Do you know what might be the problem?

Hi
I've successfully imported the apt-key and now trying to run "apt-get update", however I'm getting HttpError 403 pertaining to the fetch from the ralph sources for ralph 3.0. Any idea?

@purplexss
Hello world!
Whenever you solve the issue with deb hosting please send a notice here :) ty in advance
Pete
@kasim1r
well, seems like everything at "https://dl.bintray.com/vi4m/ralph" is accessible, only the deep directory "/Packages" gives 403
Pete
@kasim1r
ah no. only directory listing now, no files downloadable
Miriam Cox
@marzipanic
@Mehdidou_twitter I would be interested in this feature as well.
