Hi, I want to add custom-fields to data-center-assets and its fine in the GUI, but I didn't find an option to attach the custom-fields into the assets, it does show in the GET requests to /api/data-center/assests, but no way update or create assets with a POST, PUT or PATCH.
Are the custom-fields in the assets yet to come in the APIs or am I doing something wrong?
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
weird
are you authorized ?
Cejo John
@cejojohn
yes I do all sorts of other /api/ stuff
@vi4m its also not present in the OPTIONS of /api/data-center-asset/
But it is displayed in the GET of /api/data-center-asset/
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
have to check it

for the ip/networks section. when I add an IP, i expect it to show up in the IP addresses list under Networks - Relations - "Addresses" section. However, all i see is (NONE). What am I doing wrong?

im still confused about this one though... when i run the command pip install -r requirements/prod_ldap.txt

i get the error:
Could not open requirements file: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'requirements/prod_ldap.txt'

i'm obviously new at django/ldap stuff, so it's probably something very simple. this is just very new to me...

@mkurek
@spencewb16_twitter what is your current directory (for execution of this statement)? Is this ralph's directory?
swb
@spencewb16_twitter
yes i am in root directory for ralph... (e.g. i am in /opt/ralph/ when executing)
same result if i run cmd in /opt/ralph/ralph-core
or just /opt .... seems like no matter where i get same result. but again, i have no idea where I'm supposed to be running this, or if there is some prerequisite i'm supposed to have (besides pip obviously, which i do have)

During the bower install steps (when building ralph docker). there is a set of git:// dependencies.
these do not work when behind a corporate proxy.
is there any change of adding a local config to the git repo git config url."https://".insteadOf git://
the build works all a.ok with this small change.
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
we can check for some environment variable for example
and replace git urls respectively

When I run the ralph migrate command, it says: PermissionError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/opt/ralph/ralph-core/lib/python3.4/site-packages/atomic/pycache/_cffi__xaa896a6dxf914a2ce.c'
@vi4m Please help. When I run the ralph migrate command, it says: PermissionError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/opt/ralph/ralph-core/lib/python3.4/site-packages/atomic/pycache/_cffi__xaa896a6dxf914a2ce.c'

Is there any discussion/comparison with OpenDCIM? I am trying to decide which way to go, and management of structured cabling and the patch panels is pretty high on the list.

@spencewb16_twitter
@mkurek i guess my question is - where is my requirements.txt located for ralph django projects?
PdeNiet
@PdeNiet
@swb i had the same problem, just grabbed it from https://github.com/allegro/ralph i think
its in the root there
swb
@spencewb16_twitter
@PatrickdeNiet ah ok - where do i put that txt file? also, do i need to get the entire requirements folder as well?
PdeNiet
@PdeNiet
I think it's best to download the 'requirements' directory from github and place it in your ralph directory
and then probably something like 'sudo pip3 install -r requirements/prod_ldap.txt' from the main ralph folder
swb
@spencewb16_twitter

so i followed @kasim1r and @damian1976 steps from back in September step for step (for configuring ldap configuration), and i get the following message:

No module named 'django_auth_ldap'
