Hey :) I'm new here. I installed Ralph 3, but i dont know how to scan servers. Ralph 2 have script ssh_linux.py, but Ralph 3 havnt it :( How can I scan server through SSH? iDRAC and iLO isnt on my servers.
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
hello @vizarch , glad you used Ralph 2 in the past :)
you have to install separate script for this case
called ralph-cli
here you have quickstart how to use it: http://ralph-cli.readthedocs.io/en/latest/quickstart/
Krzysztof Łuczak
@vizarch
thanks for reply. I have ralph-cli, but there is no ssh_linux.py script. Only idrac.py and ilo.py :(
Krzysztof Łuczak
@vizarch
this functionality is available in Ralph 3 ?
Adam
@tretos53
@vizarch I think you have to write your own script (http://ralph-cli.readthedocs.io/en/latest/concepts/#scripts-contract) for this. ralph-cli comes with two default scripts - idrac.py and ilo.py
Krzysztof Łuczak
@vizarch
@tretos53 thanks. I thought so. Maybe back to Ralph 2 ? @vi4m I didnt use Ralph 2. But my team needs apps like this, so I try to integrate Ralph 3.
Adam
@tretos53
@vizarch What exactly are you trying to do ?
Krzysztof Łuczak
@vizarch
I try to scan servers (CPU, RAM, Disk, system) and enter this information to Ralph. It is more than few machines, so it can be difficult to manually write every machine.
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
actually it should be fairly easy to copy-paste this script to the ralph-cli

hi,
I don't know how Ralph super admin can change user password.
On the black cloud it is written that I can chnge user password using this form, but I can't click it.
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
do you see something like this ? http://ralph-demo.allegro.tech/password_change/
Chewie
@Chewie9999
@ziompaul I have this problem too. It's a known bug: allegro/ralph#2237 but I'm still having a problem with my installed version
Is there a way of adding different graphics for "rack accessories"? I would like to make images for specific accessories, as there only seems to be 1 image which shows a 24port patch panel. Once done I can submit them for approval.
kuhan
@nkuhan
Can I install it on Mac OS X
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
@nkuhan yes
@Chewie9999 not at the moment
Chewie
@Chewie9999

✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
@Chewie9999 could you describe it here ? https://github.com/allegro/ralph/issues/new
we will notify you when feature is during development
Chewie
@Chewie9999

hey quick question. i was trying to get Ralph3 up and running
i followed the install dock up to where it asks to run ralphmigrate
ralph migrate
that doesn't seem to work in bash or mysql
i'm sure i'm doing something simple incorrectly -_-

hi,everyone, when I install develop env for ralph3, I met the error" default: django.db.utils.ProgrammingError: (1146, "Table 'ralph_ng.transitions_transition' doesn't exist") ". I think it is because there are no tables but ralph3 try to migrate them(from ralph2). How to solve this problems?
lowang-bh
@lowang-bh
@se7en9057 I met the error also when install develop environment and do migrate
Charley Sheets
@nvdacsheets
@se7en9057 can you provide more details than "doesn't seem to work". it should be a command you execute in your bash shell.
@vi4m I see that for my PR #3213 the travis-ci build didn't complete, but I can't figure out why and there's no log. Do you know anything else I should try?
Well, I guess there's a log but it just says null
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
@nvdacsheets weird, will restart the build
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
@ar4s what’s that?

Hi, I need to integrate Ralph with CAS. I understand https can be implemented using Apache as a front end server. I tried the same and it was successful. But I have difficulty implementing CAS. I made config changes for CAS and once I login from the CAS page, I am again redirected to the Ralph login page on http. How do I proceed?
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
what kind of CAS ?
we provide integration with Active Directory / LDAP
ShyamalaViswanathan
@ShyamalaViswanathan
I am trying to integrate Ralph with CAS using mod_auth_cas with Apache as the front end server
✪ vi4m Marcin Kliks
@vi4m
oh, I see
i think some additional work is needed for this one to work
