    @saekow
    Thanks for all the DNS work with Roberto
    Eugene W. Nourminsky
    @alterm4nn
    It was... painful. Now I'm dealing with consequences - OneDrive file dialog stopped working, hope to fix one in a day or two
    Lori Ada Kilty
    @loriada
    Yes, Thank you!! Does this mean the DNS is now solely with Outercurve?
    Eugene W. Nourminsky
    @alterm4nn
    Yes, It is. But I don't know is it good or not )
    Lori Ada Kilty
    @loriada
    I wonder why it wasn't with them to start with?

    From my side, Walter was contacted by someone that wants to make a log version of ChronoZoom. We explained why ChronoZoom is not log, but they are interested to talk with someone about development. I don't know if they have funding or not, but is there anyone interested to speak with him? I can make email introduction if interested.
    Lori Ada Kilty
    @loriada
    a log version?
    Eugene W. Nourminsky
    @alterm4nn
    A log?.. That's quite a new point of view )
    saekow
    @saekow
    Yes logarithmic
    Well if there is any interest, anyone can email me offline
    Lori Ada Kilty
    @loriada
    Ah yes, that was brought up by the future guy at the last big history meeting.

    @loriada
    This is a question, I think for Marcel. Yes, Joseph. I think he asked about this specifically.
    saekow
    @saekow
    Eugene, are you working on new project/company/research after end of August?
    Lori Ada Kilty
    @loriada
    Looks like we may've lost Eugene for the moment. I must run. Would you have time for a chat later today?
    saekow
    @saekow
    Yes, talk to you later!

    Re DNS, (may be totally off tangent here since I've not been filled in on the issues,) if you need an alternative DNS service, I've been using this free one for years: https://www.namecheap.com/domains/freedns.aspx - pretty easy to configure with a web UI. Beats having to maintain your own DNS servers.
    Eugene W. Nourminsky
    @alterm4nn
    Thanks for sharing, Neil! Actually, we've just moved from namecheap :-)

    @saekow
    Good morning!
    saekow
    @saekow
    I propose to change the meeting schedule to once or twice a month until the Spring semester when there is more activity.
    I will send an email about this proposal.
    Lori Ada Kilty
    @loriada
    That sounds great. Sorry I wasn't around this morning - I'm on vacation for the next two weeks. Also, I'd like to share with everyone that I'm leaving Microsoft at the end of the month. I have an exciting opportunity that fell into my lap. After 18 years, it felt right to take on a new challenge. I'll talk to Roy to see if he can participate in these chats instead.

    Hi Everyone, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place but I'm having some trouble building chronozoom and wondering if I could get some help.
    Eugene W. Nourminsky
    @alterm4nn
    Hi! Can you describe the issue? Maybe I can help.
    saekow
    @saekow
    Hi @akanakia, were you able to resolve the issue? Thanks @alterm4nn for offering to help!
    Anshul Kanakia
    @akanakia
    @alterm4nn @saekow apologies for not replying earlier, the first email notification from Gitter went to my span folder so I missed it. I found this one due to an email conversation from work... :)
    I still can't get the build going.

    I’ve got build errors during my first build attempt of Chronozoom that all looked like this one:

    Error 155 The type 'System.Data.Services.Client.DataServiceQuery<TElement>' exists in both 'c:\Users\ankana\Documents\GitHub\ChronoZoom\Source\packages\Microsoft.Data.Services.Client.5.6.4\lib\net40\Microsoft.Data.Services.Client.dll' and 'c:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework.NETFramework\v4.5\System.Data.Services.Client.dll' C:\Users\ankana\Documents\GitHub\ChronoZoom\Source\Chronozoom.UI\api\external\BingSearchContainer.cs 921 16 Chronozoom.UI

    Is this because .NET 4.5 is installed on my dev machine? I’ve got 10 identical errors, all in the same file, BingSearchContainer.cs. Please let me know how I can fix these. I’m guessing it’s an improper project reference setting somewhere. Thanks.

    Eugene W. Nourminsky
    @alterm4nn
    What version of VS do you use? By the way, there's not direct reference in packages to Microsoft.Data.Services.Client. Can you remove all local nuget packages and then rebuild the solution?

    Hi Everyone, I am currently writing the first in a series of games using the Chronozoom data. Have explored both the primary CZ collection and others which are public. The extent of the CZ collection seems a bit disappointing as I believed there was much more content. Is there still an active effort going on to pull in more data? We will publish our first game soon but have plans for much more but need rich data.
    saekow
    @saekow
    Thank you everyone for using ChronoZoom all these years!

    Please keep me informed if and when a new startup of ChronoZoom occurs. I really enjoyed creating a Chinese Medicine History on the page and would love to continue documenting with new features...

    When the lights go out Lori, it may not be that hard to enable you edit and visualize your stuff locally.
    Lori Guidos
    @loriguidos
    That would be great Peter... especially if we can also share it with websites, but we'll have to wait and see.
    Peter S. Larsen
    @M3tan3rd
    We don't have to wait - we just code! :-)
    Eugene W. Nourminsky
    @alterm4nn
    We're going to publish database with public collections, so yeah
