@adarshsiva

Abhijit Ramesh
@abhijitramesh
@adarshsiva I guess you have gone wrong while mergeing some commits
try reseting you head first
Ajay Prabhakar
@Chromicle
hello @adarshsiva you can solve by fetch the upstream after pull them, if any merge conflicts solve them
ADARSH S
@adarshsiva
thanks @Chromicle @abhijitramesh

@adarshsiva
Are these supposed to be the same: "List Of Registered Poojas: people who paid only" and "List of all registrations who paid only". Or should i consider it as two different strings
Ajay Prabhakar
@Chromicle
they both are same consider them as one
This is the problem if we are using hardcoded strings instead of resources
ADARSH S
@adarshsiva
okay thanks @Chromicle
"People Who Registered For Pooja" and "All Registered Poojas:" are they the same??
Ajay Prabhakar
@Chromicle
yeah
ADARSH S
@adarshsiva
"create/insert" and " insert" ????
Ajay Prabhakar
@Chromicle
yeah, better to be insert only
ADARSH S
@adarshsiva
String id,name,poojaTyp,overall,money,paidCheck = getString(R.string.NOT_PAID); this was the previous line. so if i just modify it as String id,name,poojaTyp,overall,money,paidCheck; and then inside onCreate() , i'll put something like paidCheck = getString(R.string.NOT_PAID); would that solve the issue ??

Hello Everybody! My name is Ashwin Shenoy. I am doing second year btech programmeee in Amrita Univercity, Kolam. I am planning to learning Java as part of the college subject, and taught that I would learn Andorid to understood java. But most importantly, I am a web developer, know nothing about java, but I heard java is like javascript. Now I want to take it a challenge to learn to make apps, and contribute to the real project. Kindly, someone please guide. I am comfortable with open source contributions. I just need someone who can guide me throughly. Thanks

@/all You all can help by contributing to the issues opened. If you are interested in contributing further, here are the future objectives that we have planned:
1) Introducing retrofit in the app.
2) Changing the backend to better serve our purposes(using google spreadsheets itself for now)
3) Enhance the UI
4) Implement a login portion

@aswinshenoy
Thanks @yashk2000. I setted up temple app in the studio, had issue with java but fixed it. I am an very good UI/UX designer myself and like to code the task 3) Enhance the UI. Hoping that I could also learn java and work on other android stuff too fast.
Today was a dream day for me, I think the current design of the app is not good, so i wished to update it. I coded new leyout changes and added new design, and have submitted pull request. But i saw some test called travis has failed, can someone teach me travis so that it can show passed.

@yashk2000
@aswinshenoy you say you are comfortable with open source contributions, but you haven't heard of travis? That's really surprising.
When you send a pr, we need to ensure that you did not break the app in any way. The most obvious way to do it will be for the maintainer to download a zip of the app from your repo and run it.
