    Hi @sdorra, I think it would be great to share the roadmap with the new improvements / features you want to add in the framework, so that we can contribute on this.

    Hi all, After gulp all when I deploy the dist directory to my webserver it gives error adf-news-widget not found. Since this is the first widget that I have I am wondering that all of the widgets are not included in dist. I have read the gulp.js file. Just wondering what would be the best way to add widgets to dist folder should this be under dist/sample? and how dows adf deals with all the widget templates?
    Elias Chaaya
    @chaaya
    Have you read the readme file and followed all steps @heenaI ?

    Checkout git submodule widgets:

    git submodule init
    git submodule update

    Hina Imran
    @heenaI
    @chaaya yes I have
    gulp serve is working fine
    I see all the widgets but gulp all does not have any widgets inside I thought may be the build leave out widgets?
    and I have not chnaged gulp.js file at all
    Elias Chaaya
    @chaaya
    yeah i think so since they are a submodule
    why do you need to build it?
    Hina Imran
    @heenaI
    I would like replace the widgets with my own and publish the dashboard to a website. by adding the dist folder to the project root folder
    here is how the dist folder looks liek
    like
    Hina Imran
    @heenaI
    here is how the page looks after I upload the dist folder http://dashboard.thedatabird.com/sample/
    Elias Chaaya
    @chaaya
    @heenaI read here about creating your own widget types
    checkout the code via bower or downloading the zip via github
    Hina Imran
    @heenaI
    yes I got it indeed the case was the dist leaves out the widgets I had to change gulp.js now it is fine
    :)

    Hi there! Is there a way to embed a directive inside the widgets? I tried with the Markdown widget but it didn't work. I was thinking into develop only one widget that can evaluate the HTML content and load directives i.e. <div my-directive></div> and in this way load graphs, forms and other custom directives i've already developed
    Sebastian Sdorra
    @sdorra
    @cortezcristian this should be no problem, just add your directive to your widget as you would do in a normal angular project. But do not forget to include the scripts and add the module as dependency.

    @sdorra
    I’ve started a proof of concept for porting adf to angular 2. If you are interested please have a look at adf2-poc
    Ivan
    @bravealdus
    @sdorra hi! I've been playing around with the adf2 and it looks pretty good, do you think adf angular 1 will be around long? any plans or thoughts about a final migration or suport?
    Sebastian Sdorra
    @sdorra
    @bravealdus note the adf2-poc is only a proof of concept and is far from production ready. Adf2 will take some time before it becomes production ready. I think we will support both versions for while. We will look at migration paths, when adf2 becomes ready.
