    Hi, any pointers on how to determine when the sortable item moves between tree branches on an implementation similar to the dynamic tree example. Or if that parent can be tracked by an ID

    @thgreasi
    You could check the ui.sortable.source and ui.sortable.droptarget properties
    If their first elements are different then it's a different sortable
    And then you could check if the one is a descendant of the other...

    @Joni-Aaltonen
    thanks, I managed to do that by tracking and updating parent_id value of the item

    hi guys
    any one know how to add new value to ng-model in ui-sortable
    Thodoris Greasidis
    @thgreasi
    Just add a button in your page (preferably in the same controller with ui-sortable) and inside the method called by the button's ng-click do something like: $scope.mySortableModel.push({ name: 'new item' })

    @supunlk
    Thanks for the information. I mean from the view to the controller. $scope.stageSortableOptions = {
    stop : function(e, ui) {
    var stage = ui.item.sortable.model;
    var fromIndex = ui.item.sortable.index;
    var toIndex = ui.item.sortable.dropindex;
    }}

    @thgreasi
    If you want to change the model you should do it inside the stop callback, like you mention.
    Just do someting like: ui.item.sortable.model.push({ name: 'new item' })
    Like in this example: http://codepen.io/thgreasi/pen/LVVJgK

    Heya o/
    I was trying to look into the documentation of ui-sortable but the examples listed on the github project are not working for me on codepen.
    I got it all set up nicely and swiftly, but im not sure how to save the new list order as it doesnt update my $scope.items array
    nvm im a dummy, was forgetting to add the ng-model to my element

    I'm glad you found your way around! Have a great Sunday.

    Hi @thgreasi,
    Can you please explain the dropindex property (ui.item.sortable.dropindex)?
    like you did in here: https://github.com/thgreasi/ui-sortable-multiselection in the API documentation section.
    Thanks a lot!
    If anyone else knows the answer it would be awesome
    Thodoris Greasidis
    @thgreasi
    Hi @alandardic, have you seen the respective section in API.md? Do you think that it not straightforward enough? I always like to get community feedback on the docs, so please feel free to elaborate or open a PR with your suggested changes.
    I thought that gitter supported markdown...
    Oh soz, it was connectivity issue. Now it renders as expected...

    hey all, I’ve got a horizontal list I want to use with thisplug in and i followed the directions of setting ui-floating to true but the placeholder behavior is still very poor… can anyone help me troubleshoot?
    Pranav Doshi
    @pranavdoshi
    Can I use it inside Accordion?
    I have accordion with <ul ng-repeat ng-model="loadData"><h3><ul><li ng-repeat></li></ul>
    </ul> format
    Thodoris Greasidis
    @thgreasi
    @pranavdoshi I would suggest you to try modifying the respective integration example found in README
