You can do webapps with ionic.
It's part of their pwa strategy (progressive web apps)

Not sure how complete it is, but it is being developped directly by Angular team this time.

I have a little bit of an odd issue. Sometimes (not sure yet exactly what I did to cause this), buttons are not displayed correctly (unstyled with a gray rectangle as background) when I try to use them in components/pages. Also toolbar/navbarbuttons are displayed incorrectly/unstyled with icons being too small and the placement not being correct. Any hints?

It seems that if I have a <button>Something</button>, it is not styled at all by default, unless I add the ion-button attribute, but that feels odd.

I'm getting a feeling that I sort of need to inject/load something from Ionic, but most other ionic components and things seem to work just fine.
http://imgur.com/xLE8n0L (an example of a broken gray button)

Not sure what code to post here, since I can't really tell where the origin of the problem is. Any help is appreciated. If this is a bug, I'd be happy to open an issue as soon as I understood the problem.

@vinodhum the method isLoggedIn() is probably a promise that you need to resolve

Hey! I'm trying to run my ionic2 app in Android. Generated it using ionic start testapp -t tabs --v2, added android ionic platform add android and started it on android ionic run android. The error I'm getting on Android, when inspecting through Chrome states that none of the assets can be found, not main.js, main.css, polyfills.js or cordova.js. What am I doing wrong?

@bastibense That’s because ionic has no default styling for buttons. It accomplishes styling by the attributes
@Lightheaded Try running ionic build android first

Yup, tried that too. Same result
Hm, alright it worked on starter project. Weirdly enough I can't get it working on my own project >.<

Seems to be a problem with angular itself. Will try updating everything to latest versions

I have a very rare error, Storage works in "ionic serve" and works on the iOS simulator when they do a test on home doing set and a get. But when change view and I do a get that a var set in previous view, this return null and does not work
Anyone knows how I can fix it? I'm going crazy
In beta version works perfectly but When I change to RC0 and change LocalStorage to Storage dont work

Btw, I resolved my issue by removing node_modules, locking down all package versions (removing ^ from in front of versions) and running npm install. Thanks for the tip Kyle ;)

Storage is from where? I’m not seeing it in the docs
Juan Heredia

Here:

Storage

The storage utilities have been moved outside of the framework to a separate library called @ionic/storage.

This library can be installed by executing the following command:

npm install @ionic/storage --save --save-exact
It must be included in the app's NgModule list of providers:

import { Storage } from '@ionic/storage';

...

@NgModule({
...
providers: [Storage]
})

It can then be injected into any class that needs access to it:

import { Storage } from '@ionic/storage';

...

export class MyAwesomePage {
constructor(public storage: Storage) {
}

ionViewDidEnter() {

this.storage.get('myKey').then( (value:any) => {
  console.log('My value is:', value);
});

}
}

This is from changelog
