@rathnayaka my companys full blown Ionic 2 App takes 7 s to load the first page (and we dont realy use any ionic default element :/). But it realy depends on the device, the feature set of the app and how your code is written. more custom elements -> longer loading Time. (without Lazy Loading)

I everyone

Is there any formula that pause the execution of a page to wait until the data request done by http with a provider to a Rest API?

Any article or resource about this?

@pedrocortizo What kind of request the API make? An asynchronous one?

I get this error when using an ion-datetime and trying to default the value to "moment().format()". Can someone tell me why?
Error parsing date: "2017-04-27T09:11:45-04:00". Please provide a valid ISO 8601 datetime format: https://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-datetime
that IS an ISO 8601 datetime format

Hi @GledsonAfonso

I want to exceute a function after data is loaded by the provider. The http request take 1-2 seconds to complete, then i want to update my content with the new data...

Perhaps the solution is in the use or Observables/Observers or something like this

@pedrocortizo I see. And what kind of problem did you encounter?

@pedrocortizo Depending on you case, asyn/await can help too.
@pedrocortizo When you try to access the data, it's still not loaded? That's the case?

Yes, exactly

@pedrocortizo Hmm, I was having the same problem when starting a project with PouchDB. The API itself works with Promises, so this was happening all the time.
I guess async/await (or even Observables, as you stated) will solve your problem. Did you read about those?
