Hi everyone, I'm just starting using ionic2 and angular2 and I have a problem with enabling back button for TabsPage in default tab template. I used this ionic-team/ionic#7364 but in my case this.navBar is undefined and I can't quite figure out why

You have to use the ( public navCtlr: NavController ) and don't forget to import it above @eolant
That's what I'm thinking, where you located @eolant

@xzatech It doesn't show errors there I feel like it's somehow related to @ViewChild(Navbar) navBar:Navbar;

@foxjazz The first thing I tried, was to convince the back-end developers. They however disagree. -.-

I am using Ionic 3 with cordova-plugin-firebase. I have added google-services.json and GoogleService-Info.plist to the root file. I receive the notifcations and when the app is active the onNotificationOpen is being called.

The problem: On android when the app is in the background I get a notifcation, but when I click it it doesnt open the app. What could be the problem?

@eolant it sounds like it's something really simple, I wonder if there is a way to see your code or do a WebEx

@xzatech found the issue. Tabs html template doesn't have navbar and it get's pulled from child pages so the code from github discussion works only if put inside of child tab pages.

So the navbar is not present in template-1 ---- so you had to put it in the childTabPages in order for it to work, damm template!!

@xzatech yes, default tabs application have only <ion-tabs>...<ion-tabs> in the template and code from discussion suggested to put it into TabsPage component but in fact you have to put it components of child pages. I might leave my comment in this discussion to anyone who might have the same confusion.
