As someone who has only created applications on desktop/web, including Angular 5 with material, how hard is it to translate these skills to creating a phone application

Morning
@kenji-1996 Well, you need to setup a development environment, e.g. emulator/device for native plugins ( if you want to use them ) and to really check if your app behaves as you expect. Differences to browser apps are in available resources ( a desktop is more powerful than some old mobiles ) and you need to adapt to the small screen => different UI / less fancy effects but it will essentially be very similar to developing a desktop app

haven't worked with react but Ionic is going to change soon with upcoming Stencil JS but it works really good with angular in general

And also during live reload of ionic, I have various issues like when I save the file that I modified, sometimes the navigation stack gets cleared and when I press back on the device or browser, it either throws me some error or sometimes it says some plugin errors while this scenario doesn't happen when I switch off the live reload flag

@kenji-1996 as I said this is mostly needed for native plugins ( you can mock them in browser ) the development can mainly be done in browser

And this one shows you the components that Ionic uses https://github.com/ionic-team/ionic-starter-super
You get this when you run ionic start and select the super app
