good point :D
ok, so this is the scenario: My code opens a WKWebView to login via an active directory (ADFS), it gets cookies, makes another request to server to see if it's logged in, and does some other stuff (unimportant). It should be able to use the cookies stored in the InAppBrowser (in this case, WKWebView) but apparently it can't, and I always get "not logged in" which disrupts the rest. It runs OK on Android, and with UIWebView.
But the thing is, WkWebView reduces ram usage drastically. It's a shame it's so hard to work with.

okay, dno exactly without reading all that but id check.. that the cookies are not http only, make sure that your endpoint accepts credentials and cookies, make sure they're actually coming back from the api

well when the code is ok on android and on iOS even... with UIWebView
I assume the rest is ok

navCtrl.getByIndex(0) should always return the root page

strange usage but doing
if (this.navCtrl.getByIndex(0)!== this.navCtrl.getActive()) {
    this.navCtrl.setRoot(this.navCtrl.getActive());
}
