how to create web apps with ionic, not cordova

hey guys, I did some apps wth ionic (just ionic).
Now, I'm trying to build one with ionic+firebase.
My idea is to have a frontend and fill it with firebase. (eg. "A quote a day", insert it using firebase)
How can I start this approach? the ideal was to fill firebase from the web, but other option could be have a "login" on the app, and be able to introduce data from the registered app (like an admin)

Some help??

well, both options are possible. So it depends first of all on who the users are, and if they should be able to do 'both' at the same time and if maybe the admin site needs better/different security. Secondly if you want to maintain/support a second separate app...

I will prefer avoid to implement the app's login. If it's posible to use the web side to introduce data, could be enought

ohh, you mean add the data through the firebase console website...? well, if your 'admin' users can handle that interface...

ok, there is no "magic" behind? just login on the website and add?
Then from ionic, just read the db as usual. right?

Good morning guys, I'm writing tests with rxjs 6 and i have a function in my service where i have catchError((err) => return throwError(new Error('')); and in my test i throw an error with mockHttpClient.delete.and.returnValue(throwError(new Error('someError'))); however i'm receiving the error message 'expected function to throw an error'. any ideas?

@UncertaintyP
What versions of ionic-angular and @angular do you use?

From what I know you can use:

  • angular 4, 5, or 6 with Ionic 3, you need to use library ionic-angular
  • angula 6 with Ionic 4 beta, you need to use library @ionic/angular

@CORT0619 would be good for other developers if you show a sample code
